Well to be fair, you did bring it up. And if I refer to someone by first name only, and you're confused as to who I could possibly mean, please...let me know and I'll clarify. :) i know who people mean its just to egotistical for my humbled self, as you might imagine ;) i dont like to call alex rodriguez, arod. or even ichiro suzuki, ichiro. the only first name people in sports ill do it to (off the top of my head): Mark Kerry i have the same rant about Senator Clinton, but people are sick of me saying it I actually have the same feeling (if I understand you properly). I try to use the title with the person whenever I can. President Bush, Senator Clinton, Rep. Jackson. I even cringe a little at Mr. Bush, or Mrs. Clinton. Especially when referring to them in their professional capacity. If Mr. Bush is 4 wheeling around his ranch in Crawford, fine. If Mrs. Clinton is taking in a Cubs-Yankees game, fine. But when talking about them in their elected capacity, use their title. Just my little pet peeve.
