I don't mind him in the booth, but I do like the idea of him managing a team in this division Hopefully he hasn't picked up many philosophies from Len.

I agree, this hate is disproportionate. The whole team sucked collectively. Soriano was awful at the plate...but so was everyone not named Lee or Derosa. You'd think Soriano walked the bases loaded and then gave up a grand slam, or made 2 (should have been 3) errors leading to 5 avoidable runs.

You know what though? Much as I want to have fun with that, it sounds very, very familiar. Can you guess where you could find comments that are almost carbon copies of those? Yeah I was gonna say, I feel bad for their a lot of their fans because we've been there so many times. I can't stand a lot of the dbags on the Brewer's team, but I do feel for their more rational fans.

How was Z's arm slot? I know that he threw a no-hitter and he looked sharp...just curious if he looked healthy/rested. -

All of this would be very true (imo) if the Cubs were showing any signs of life. Every day is getting uglier, however. Like when Geo struck out ~28 times in a row against Washington. Or LA lost 8 in a row like a week ago. Streaks in baseball only tell you what happened, not what's going to happen. I don't give a damn about streaks...all I care about is that the cubs are playing terrible baseball right now and I'd really prefer that they started playing good baseball prior to and during the playoffs. To me, Cubs playing well with less of a lead > Cubs doing terrible but lucking out because everyone else is too.

Yes, horribly irrational. The Astros are 9 games back in the loss column. And this trainwreck has 18 more games of hoping the crew and phils lose....while facing the Stros 3 times.
