Old vs. New The template has gone from single-button pullover back to full button-down and the side panels have gone from two-color to single color, a positive for many teams including the Cubs, as it no longer appears that they have off-color pitstains. The lack of white particularly helps the Cubs design look cleaner. The new template also allows for contrasting shoulder yokes, but fortunately, the Cubs opted not to go that route.
