    Haha I had forgotten all about that ?? Immediately following Aramis' walkoff HR against Milwaukee in June of 2007, the dugout camera clearly showed Izturis reaching between Aramis' legs from behind and... I dunno, you can insert your euphemism of choice here. You get the idea, though.

    The alternate jerseys were done away with while McDonough was in charge, so all of 2007. Zambrano looked out of sorts in the road greys. They returned a year later. The homes and roads are fine, but if the Cubs were to change their alternate, I'd love to see them go the route of what the Padres just did their alternate: (spoiled for size) Solid colored with piping is great when you don't overdo it on the colors, and though you can't see it in that shot, the letters and numerals on the back are single colored, no outline (the Padres also ditched that pointy, swirly typeface they were using for the numerals, but that's neither here nor there). Something along these lines, perhaps?

    Victor Zambrano's cousin was kidnapped and killed, and his mother kidnapped and later rescued, in 2009. Yorvit Torrealba's son and brother-in-law were kidnapped and released a day later, also in 2009.

The Twins were missing Morneau most of the season and certainly didn't view Thome as a first base option. What's he going to do with an NL team?

    Certainly don't take this as an indictment of you, but Hafner as a full-time first baseman would be awful. He's oft-injured and the Indians certainly didn't make him a full-time DH because they had someone great blocking him at first base. The Indians never played him for a full season at first base to begin with - his career high in starts at the position is 40, set all the way back in 2003.
