Have you read this somewhere or is this your opinion? I've seen every major league pitch he's thrown. It's my opinion. That's what I thought. Every scouting report I've read classify Hill's curve as well above average (plus), and his K rate suggests he's fooling plenty of batters with something.

I agree. I was willing to give Brian the benefit of the doubt after last season when it was a 2-month slump. Now it's over 3 months. In fairness to Dopirak, Moore is repeating high class-A ball after hitting .223/.322/.384 last year. I do ago that their relative ages is a point in Moore's favor, though. -
But Ichiro didn't "always try to lob the ball the other way" in Japan. They did play on the same team over there. That's about the only thing they had in common -- certainly not a hitting style. Not looking for that argument. Just puzzled why anyone would make that analogy.

Huh? Ichiro hit .353/.460/.522 over his career in Japan compared to .277/.333/.387 for Taguchi.

All this Hideki trade talk is moot. He has a no-trade clause, and he'd go back to Japan to play (which he can't do until after this season) before he waived it.

I didn't think it could get any better. I'm a Cubs fan. I don't care if Venezuela beats the Dominican or if Zambrano strikes out Rolen in a meaningless game. No good can come of this. I'm a Cubs fan, too. But I also enjoy baseball in formats besides MLB, and I can't hardly wait to watch this, especially if the Cuban team participates.

Japan sent a team of All-Stars to Athens last year and the only team to beat them was Australia, and they did so twice. Strange things can happen in short series.

Riiight, nothing like a couple fatalities at the corners to spice up a game. The bats will be wooden, like they are in the Olympics and Olympic qualifying games.
