    Jason Marquis. Should be fun. Definitely, with his 1.96 ERA in June. Let's not be hypocrites here. Just like we know that this lineup doesn't suck despite it's recent struggles, we also know that Marquis does suck despite his recent success. Ok, fine, he doesn't suck. He's just insanely mediocre. thanks. maybe marquis just hit his good streak later than usual this season. i'll take it.

    their schedule has been really sucky with the day game after last nights crapfest and the hall of fame game since they had to go there even if it was rained out

    because will caroll isn't a doctor, he's not examining zambrano, he says he's not sure yet how long zambrano will be out and that the injury cost seems low.

    Levine said that hendry was admitted to a local hospital overnight for observation and that it didn't seem like anything too serious like a heart attack or something. I missed the first part because I was listening to wgn and switched over to espn1000, but it sounded like someone took hendry to the hospital, he didn't collapse or anything. levine said he looked sick and said that he felt lousy and that hendry never says anything like that. Levine also said hendry has been working around the clock and not sleeping and living off coffee so it might be a combination of exhaustion and dehydration or something like that. early word is that hendry should be released tomorrow morning and they think he'll be back in time for the rule 5 draft. I hope they don't rush it or anything.

    it didn't sound like they were joking, it was mac jurko and harry, and i'm not, did anyone else hear it? i have wgn radio on now but they haven't said anything yet.

    ha levine just said it looks like lilly will be a cub and he and his agent and hendry met late this afternoon to iron out final details man this is going to last all night.

    That deal makes very little sense. I just logged on and heard them talking about, I believe, Contreras, and then Stone talked about them getting back a guy like Lackey (or somebody else) who could slide into their rotation. there was a rumor earlier todahy about some sort of crede - lackey trade and then the white sox would spin off two starting pitchers so maybe what you heard was followup onj that.

    offman on the score says that the cubs have delayed their daily press conference that's supposed to be in a little while so maybe somethings happening
