  1. Actually, I think the 3-3-5 is the only way that they can stop the run. WVU keeps guys off the line it makeing it harder for Okla's big boys to be able pick up what holes they are going to hit. If you put them on the line they'll be able to tie them up right off the snap. OU is going to have to make half time adjustments to their blocking schemes to be able to win this.
  2. Jason Kendall is in the NL Central. I'll be pissed if Soto only steals one base all season. :D I don't know if Soto can even steal a base on Kendall. There are a lot of things he's good at, but speed isn't exactly one of them. I'd put him as the slowest player on last year's team. There's a reason that Soto spent 3 years in AAA and in that time stole exactly 0 bases :D Mark Grace could steal a base on Kendall. Grace had 70 stolen bases in 8065 at-bats between the minors and majors. In 1/4 of the at-bats, Soto has exactly 2, and 1 of those was in rookie league ball. Grace stole a base in every year but 2, 1994 and 2003. Soto's already had 5 separate seasons where he didn't steal a base, including each of the last 3 years. There's a possibility that Soto could steal the base if Kendall threw the ball away like he did many times last year, but I don't want to see him try. He is that slow. If Kendall got it anywhere near the bag, Soto would be out by a mile, even with Kendall's bad arm. But he lost 30 lbs!!!!
  3. Purdue lost to Wofford. This loss sucks. It really sucks. But we'll probably win 20 games still. Tourney's done for though which is really sad. Just work on developing DMac, Tisdale, and Davis. Purdue also beat a ranked Louisville team. When your starting five most games consists of four freshman and a sophomore(although they've changed up the starting five recently), you're going to struggle at times. They have quite a bit of talent, but they are going to have their ups and downs this season. The loss to Wofford was bad though, no question about that. Wasn't trying to insinuate that Purdue would be a walk because of that. Just saying that Purdue had its bad loss too. I think the game in West Lafayette is a toss up and that we should win at home. But you hit it on the head, that it pretty much depends on what Purude team shows up. They're going to be really good in a couple years. Winning 20 games (I had 11-5 +1 in the tourney, Pomeroy has us at 10-8) with how awful the Big 10 is this year is pretty much a lock to miss the tourney. I think we have a better chance of loosing 11 conference games than winning 11 conference games.
  4. From the looks of things in these threads, you are not a very good gambler. I'm just doing it because I'm bored and don't care about most of these games. And I really don't care about the money. My philosophy is that if you don't have it to lose, don't bet it. I haven't done too bad. I won taking the Bears (Chicago Bears that is), on the over in the Cal/AF, and on the over in the Rose Bowl. What hurts were that my two biggest bets were BC-5 (they won by 3 and could/should have kicked a field goal at the end) and Kentucky -7.5 (they won by 7). Both of those were soooooooooo close, but thats what the lines are all about.
  5. So with these two amazing offenses, kick/punt returns have outgained the offenses by what, 4 to 1? The damn over was too tempting. They better get their acts together.
  6. I agree with the Colvin part, but high K high BB is right up the cubs alley. I would think they would be quite interested in Cabrera, but I agree, they seem to be really in love with Colvin and I can't see them dealing him.
  7. Shockingly the Georgia cheerleaders that they just had on TV were ugly as hell.
  8. Air Force's QB tore the Hell out of his knee otherwise it would have been a toss up.
  9. This game is killing me. They are far and away the better team.
  10. Make that 4.
  11. Just sounds like you don't know how to use the computer and iPod, thats your defect, not the items defect. I have never had a single one of the problems you have had, and neither has anyone else that I know that uses Macs. My sister and I have iPhones and they show up on every one of our computers. Also, in response to the bold part...learn to turn repeat off..... What is there to do? You just plug it in. Thanks on the repeat. I googled it and figured out how to turn that off. Kinda stupid that its not automatically on the screen. Ok, now what am I doing wrong with not being able to get it to interact with other computers.
  12. Evidently UK is in on the point shaving. 3 just ridiculous mistakes.
  13. NOT nice turnover I'm still confident. UK has the big advantage later in the game when these kids don't have appropriate subs.
  14. Found this rumor after scrolling through the site for 30 seconds. 0% chance with the cubs, decent chance with the sox. Hes very much a KW type of guy. Although, Ozzie would eat him up.
  15. The big question is if Cal got a chance to lick their wounds. If they are healthy, I think they should take it. BUT, I think Air Force is going to get some big gains on the pourus Cal defense. Its a tough call because we don't know how healthy Cal is and how they will respond. Its tough to guage the Pac 10 this year. Either the top teams suck of the bottom teams are pretty decent. I think the over is the best bet here. Just a field goal for the over to win...and a quarter to play. Even though AF's QB went down and their O is going to suck from now on, Cal is hitting its stride. Darn it, I should have taken Cal too.
  16. Yeah, that one was absolutely horrible. He should have pitched it.
  17. Well, he split his time between AA and AAA last year and hit a combined .325, 14 HRs, 40 doubles, slugged .505, and was selected Dodgers' Minor League Player of the Year. Sure sounds like he has the potential to be a very good major league SS. As for Crede being garbage, the Dodgers are rumored to be thinking about Rolen (expensive, injured garbage). Also, getting anything out of Crede would be worth ditching Pierre (plus $15 million) and the other $21.5 million owed to him. a sub 850 OPS in Vegas is pathetic. That James Loney and his .727 Vegas OPS in more games than Hu must really suck too. He also put up a 972 there the year before.
  18. I thought the speech was horrible. He even used the phrase "polly anas" I dont even know what the hell that means. Basically it translated to me like "meh, you guys are going to lose, but you should at least try". Hes already passed the 50% senile mark. And yeah, he would make a speech pathologist cry.
  19. It almost seems like a trap, but I've put the house on this one....figuratively speaking. Seriously, I wouldn't even take FSU and the points if they didn't have any players suspended. I put $50 originally, but the more I think about it the easier $ it seems. I'm putting another $150 on it.

  21. They're GIVING 7 1/2? Kentucky - 7 1/2
  22. Is it just me or doesn't Kentucky giving 7 1/2 seem like the a ridiculously easy bet playing against the FSU practice squad and team managers?

These Park Factors are probably pretty crappy (as all park factors are), but still thought I should post them. http://www.baseballthinkfactory.org/files/oracle/discussion/minor_league_park_factors_2006/
