    Bruce, Any ideas on what the changes might be? I wish I knew. Lou has been very cryptic in his comments of late, with the bullpen and the lineup situation once Lee gets back. With the pen, I believe he's sending messages to his boss. Maybe they'll bring Marshall. I really doubt they'd release anybody, but Lou might want to make a statement.

    Did Lou just realize it was a LHP or did DeRosa take that long to convince him he's healthy? DeRosa had to show that he could swing OK late this morning.

    Cubs purchase Fontenot, option Cherry to Iowa.

    Fontenot is en route. I've also written a story for the Web, but I don't know if it's up yet. DeRosa is getting an MRI. Lee appears to be OK, but he'll need a couple more days. Wood or Prior could go on 60-day (They are NOT releasing Izturis.) Cubs are very pleased with Fontenot and say his defense also has improved.

    I'm still here. The beat guys usually get the home weekends off, except of course, for the White Sox series. I had a college graduation (my daughter's) to attend this past weekend. Good stuff.

    Maybe not quite a Yogi-ism, but a valiant effort. He actually said "hitting with a little more consistency." That's much less fun...heh. But makes a lot more sense. That'll teach me to quote from the Trib, huh Bruce? :) There you go. I've always advocated reading the Daily Herald. :D
