  1. Safety, Ill Take that. Man, our defense might be shaky, but we have so much individual talent there.
  2. During this Cal game they were showing replays of the earlier UM-OSU game, and one play that I hadnt looked at closely was a PA play that Troy Smith played masterfully. He looks like he is a man among boys out there.
  3. Jarrett was the Biletnikoff finalist, so I'd go with him. well right now im not sure if Hughes is covering him or not. And smith has a few more receptions and alot more yards than Jarrett.
  4. Can someone answer me, is Steve Smith USC's number 1 reciever? For some reason I've always thought Jarrett was.
  5. Nice tackling by Hicks
  6. damn damn damn
  7. They kicked him out of the booth because of the odor emanating from his commentary.
  8. Oh CMON THATS A FUMBLE!!! SHUTUP PAUL
  9. FUMBLE TD!!!!! YES!!!! Edit: Damn technicalities, incomplete pass
  10. and then Hughes gets beat, luckily theres a flag. Im not feeling to good about this game right now.
  11. wow, our Run D is looking weak
  12. wow, that was a dirty hit
  13. im calling this game is a shootout that is decided in the 4th quarter, probably by a turnover.
  14. Man im loving the love that Desean Jackson is finally getting from the media. this kid is going to be special for some NFL team in in 2 years.
  15. Alright now that the UM-OSU game is over, lets shift focus to the next big game, Cal vs. USC. What are the implications of that in the BCS. Obviously the winner of the Pac-10 is decided, and if USC wins, they will get a fair chance at the national title game by facing Notre Dame. But if Cal wins, will they get a shot at a BCS bowl?
  16. Is it feasible to fit Soriano, and Drew under the payroll? I think if Hendry is creative enough, he can get rid of some weight like Jones, Eyre, Izturis, etc... and make room for those two. Then get someone like Westbrook through trade and fill in some bench spots, then call it an offseason.
  17. uhhhh...no. Why? You're probably right, but that's not saying much, especially not at 3.75 mil
  18. Thanks for the info, ill edit the new estimate
  19. New updated payroll (added Blanco and Derosa) Miller - 1.5M Wood - 1.75M Dempster - 5.3M Eyre - 3.8M Howry - 4.5M Rusch - 3.3M Lee - 13M Derosa - 3.75M Izturis - 4.3M Ramirez - 14.6M Barrett - 4.5M Blanco - 2.15M Jones - 5.3M if you add in arbitration eligible estimates: Zambrano - 10M (hopefully with an extension) Prior - 4M Ohman - 1M Cotts - 500k and player's without a contract that have less than 3 years of MLB experience likely to be kept on the 25 man Murton - 400k Hill - 400k Theriot - 400k Wuertz - 400k Guzman - 400k Total = 85 Million There is also a feeling that I'm getting from Hendry and Pineilla that the payroll might be 5-10 mil higher than the current 110-115M estimate going around. If you are optimistic and think that the payroll could be up to 120 mil, than that leaves us 35 million to work with. If you are pessimistic than you are still going to assume we are 25 mil away from the limit. Rusch's injury could keep him from playing in 07, and the cubs could exercise the right to drop him, with a severance of some kind, maybe totaled to about 1M and some change.
  20. And there's your 4 team trade: Howry to Phillies Rowand to White Sox Garcia to Team X Player X to Cubs Team X = Detroit Tigers Player X = Neifi Perez the thought of Neifi Perez calling himself Player X like a bad nickname is making me cry hysterically.
  21. I think eyre would wave that without hesitation, as Baker is gone who he had a great relationship with, along with getting off a team that was the worst in the NL to go a decent AL team.
  22. Kaplan said the other night, Hendry loves Murton, but that he almost guaranteed that Jones would not be with the team to start next year. Schnikes that's good news if true! thats fantastic news. Id try to change Wuertz to Eyre/Howry though, but thats still great. Westbrook would be a great #3/#4 option for the rotation, and would be a steady, solid arm for us for a good 2-3 years. I can't wait to see the type of improvement hed make going from the AL to the NL. He has pitched 200+ innings for 3 straight years, and doesnt walk to many batters. Those things are two attributes we need out of at least one of our starters next year.
  23. http://minorleaguebaseball.com/images/2006/11/15/u4vG65pI.jpg thats pretty nifty. Not as nifty as the MB Brewers mit, but still cool.
  24. Hmm. Would he throw a hissy fit about playing CF like he did over playing LF? maybe we put him at second and still get drew for center? :D Or put Soriano in Center, Drew in Right, and Trade jacque!
