  1. The only thing I think anyone should care about with Wrigley is winning a WS in it, and not another park. No exceptions. I would not feel as good about winning it at home if it was at Exxon/Mobil Park at New Wrigley Field.
  2. Ugh, free murton!
  3. More and More, its looking like we could have to more arms in the rotation that spots, which is good since injuries have killed us in the past. Ranking the starters I have: 1. Zambrano (no question) 2. Prior (if he plays as well as people have been saying, look out 3. Hill (might be an if, but I'm confident he'll post his late 06 numbers) 4. Lilly (you pay him 11M a year, he better produce at least as good as a #4) 5. Miller (also has been said to be healthy, and has been above average to great in the past. Should be a solid contributor) 6. Guzman (a big if, but his potential and what people have been saying about him excites me. If he's as good as we know he can be, thats maybe another #3 type, maybe even #2) 7. Marquis (I'm not even sure he deserves to be this high, what with the ERA last year, but hey, you pay him handsomely, and he has putout a decent ERA in the past, and coaches like what they see, he might be a darkhorse) 8. Marshall (AAA at the moment, probably a great bargaining chip, he might produce during ST and get on the ML roster though, but probably unlikely) 9. Wood (I know he's supposed to be our ace in the hole reliever, but I still think that it would be a waste of his talent to not try him at starter a few times this year) 10. Marmol (probably going to be designated for the pen as middle relief)
  4. I don't think it's out of the question for Lee to hit like he did in 05'. That year wasn't a fluke year as he showed early in 06', and it wasn't so much a contract year as it was the fact that he made a huge adjustment in his swing that allowed him to be a complete hitter.
  5. believe the hype, he really IS that good
  6. devin hester is unfreaking believable
  7. the colts hour long pregame show is finally over
  8. more like LF: Macias CF: Pierre RF: Pagan :)
  9. Brady Quinn is said to want that too...no surprise since both are Ohioans. They may well both end up being drafted by Cleveland, although recent reports of Carolina having interviewed Quinn extensively at the Senior Bowl are rekindling my hopes for a trade... that would be very convenient for you :D
  10. The bears look like the coolest bunch of guys in the NFL in those pictures. I bet Rex would be fun to party with.
  11. o look, tom brady running off the field
  12. man, im watching some tape of samardzija pitch, im so excited about him right now.
  13. just a question. Samardizja has pro NFL speed right. Does that play into his baseball career at all. For example, as a batter, if he ever got on base, would we ever send him to steal a base? Just a question. Either way, this is amazzing news. I think he will be a good one.
  14. , I noticed that CM was one of their freelancers in the late 1990's. Given that she's used to writing positive pieces on the Cubs, I no longer question why she was hired for the website. that doesn't explain why she gets a vote for the HOF.
  15. I hate to say it, but I'm becoming a bandwagon Bears fan. Maybe not one who would ever jump off the Bandwagon, but there definately my 2nd favorite team simply because of NSBB and the whole Chicago thing.
  16. Brennan will probably get drafted after Smith, but before Stanton.
  17. There are so many ifs right now. I think we won't know until well into the season actually, maybe by june at the earliest. I think what will happen is that the NL Central will beat up on itself many times, and there will be many division lead changes, even by the all star break. Meanwhile the other divisions will make the NL Central its beeyotch, and our division winner will have an 80-90 win total.
  18. wouldn't be suprised to see him come back, since I think he has a chance to win the heisman and go #1 overall next year if he does. Would be nice for the sooners to get him for another year.
  19. I'd put my money on hill before lilly.
