  1. Must be fun to be a Dodger fan right now

  3. I'm really looking forward to this season. I might not be able to actually attend any games (that $8 deal has been awesome the past 2 years) as the Hawks are on the road during my breaks this year. Either way, I'm glad I'll finally be able to watch every game on TV. I think HDTV is going to help those non-hockey fans follow the puck and understand the game a bit better. Regarding Havlat - I agree that he can be a top 5 forward in the league when healthy. That's why I'm holding out hope that he shows up and just blows people away. Add him to the mix with the kids and the sky is the limit offensively. Anyone think Khabibulin will not be on the team to start the year? I know Tallon keeps saying they're going to use both, but I just think it's too much money locked into one position. I've got to think a team gets antsy and inquires about him, in which case he's got to be moved. I'm sad that Wiz got hurt again, I was at the game where he pounded Tootoo after the horn, which was also the first game where they came to center and raised their sticks. Easily one of the coolest things I've seen at a sporting event. I'm not sure that the Campbell signing was the wisest move, but we had the money and Hossa wasn't coming here. Hopefully this allows us to move another D-man (hopefully Barker, I love Seabs) for a top-6 forward.
  4. Cool - I faced Schlitter a few times when he was a senior and I was a junior. I remember one game being a pretty important one and I think we touched him up pretty good (note - I say we, but I was probably 0-4).
  5. My power has got to be going out soon - this is ridiculous. Darn you Lee.
  6. It is absolutely pouring where I am right now. So much thunder I can barely hear the broadcast.
  7. Gameday says injury delay...someone hurt?
  8. The Brewers also traded LaPorta and a couple other prospects for Sabathia.
  9. AHAHA I just realized I was watching the game 30 seconds behind...no wonder you guys knew Longoria K'd so far in advance
  10. Remember that game Soriano redeemed himself? Please Uggla...do that
  11. Brenly with a shot at Dusty...haha "Bruce woulda been better served, as far as Dusty is concerned, clogging those bases and taking a walk.
  12. I wouldn't go so far as calling it one of the best ever, but I just checked out the numbers of their pen and it's definitely surprising. Joe Morgan only reads into one aspect of analysis and repeats it all night long. Dang it Rammy...Alexei has a cannon.
  13. No kidding the Cubs will be in trouble if they lose Aramis Ramirez...but what does that have to do with anything? Joe, you will also be in trouble if you get hit by a car. Stupid.
  14. I give in...I want "Go Cubs Go" as my ringtone...would anyone be willing to pix/video message it to me? My microSD card is broken so I can't transfer it myself.
  15. Taking my mom to the game today...almost hope it just gets cancelled...she's not going to want to sit through rain all day. As everyone else has asked...what's the best way to get updates?
  16. Well I get to keep 3 people, based on 3 different tiers. So out of Tier 1 I'm keeping Arod over Mauer, Beltran, Peavy, and some others. Tier 2 I'm keeping AGonz over a bunch of scrubs, and Tier 3 I'm stuck between Liriano or Gallardo over Salty and a couple others. It's based on last years' draft position. So I could potentially have one of them again next year, we'll see. It's a big time money league that I won last year, so I have the 12th (and 13th) pick this year, if that factors into the decision at all. Basically it comes down to who will pitch better this season...Liriano or Gallardo? All the publications I've read seem to vary by a mile on both.
  17. 12Team h2h (R, RBI, HR, SB, AVG, OBP, W, L, SV, K, ERA, WHIP) We get to keep 3 out of different tiers. I will be keeping: Arod Adrian Gonzalez Liriano OR Gallardo Which one would you keep? Where they were drafted doesn't matter, the keepers are all removed from the pool from the beginning. Here's where I stand: Liriano Potential to be unbelievable Coming back from elbow surgery In tough division, on crappy team Gallardo Potential to be very good On good team, in crappy division Recently had knee surgery Which one do I keep?
  18. Packer and Nantz kept complaining about the foul/travel...but what they were looking at was why the clock didn't start on the inbound. Then they flipped out when they saw that the refs took time off the clock. Nice awareness CBS...it was quite obvious. As for the foul/no foul...who cares? :)
  19. There goes the Rockies' playoff hopes...
  20. I don't see this as a big deal. Let's say "Big Corporation A" buys the rights and changes it from Wrigley Field to "Big Corporation A Field." In doing so they are going to piss more people off than anything. That will either prevent it from happening, or destroying "Big Company A" if it does.
  21. Off to Pasadena I go...enjoy the game everyone! Prediction: Benn is going to have a sick game.
  22. Blackhawk hockey is back. Just got back from the game, the crowd went nuts all game. We've finally got some skill and Buff is just a man-child. It was awesome seeing Wiz pound the heck out of that little punk Tootoo, too bad he got hurt. Crowd was going absolutely nuts and it was also great to see the team come to center ice an truly appreciate everyone. This is awesome. Couldn't come at a better time either.
