Wow. Glad I sat through that entire game. Similar to earlier in the year where there was that "I know we'll blow this" feeling, I suddenly have that "We'll somehow pull this out" feeling of late 2003. A sweep here and series wins against Washington and Pittsburgh would be absolutely huge. Unfortunately Milwaukee gets to play them both too.

I'm not laying it all on Hill. Len's right...the entire Brewer lineup has gone deep in the count every AB. Obviously Hill isn't on either, because he's not getting any swings and misses, but give some credit to Milwaukee. These guys are gonna be good for quite a while...I wish I were a Brewer fan right about now.

I don't see a problem with the White Sox one. There are 2 teams in Chicago, they are simply trying to claim to be better, which, as of late is true. In fact, when I spent a day with the Sox over my winter break I saw a bunch of their upcoming plans. For the most part I thought they were all pretty good.

What'd you guys think? I worked the scoreboards during the game tonight. I was sitting up in the box with 2 guys from mlb.com that do gamecast. Pretty interesting guys to talk to all night. It was pain to keep track of all the roster moves. Renshaw looked good at least I thought. Kershaw gave up a HR to the first guy he faced (Sweeney) but he managed to pick up the win. Snider was 0-2 with 2 Ks and 3 BBs.

The game is coming up on Tuesday for anyone who's interested. It's also going to be televised on the Comcast access channel starting at 6:30.

Can I get a full description of what's gone on lately? I didn't know of any previous problems, did something happen yesterday? What happened today, and how did Renteria give Fontenot a forearm? I just got home and caught Smoltz saying Lilly got screwed.

My weakest position was LF (Duncan and Freel), but aside from that my offense is pretty stacked. I could use some help in runs, avg, sb though. With both Duncan and Freel hitting the DL, should I pickup Corey Hart or Melky Cabrera? We only get 18 pickups and I've used 7 so far, trying to limit them. I hate Cabrera, and I like Hart. However, both players seem to be in line for some PT now. With Weeks hurt Hart has hit leadoff lately and done a solid job, and with Giambi out Damon moves to DH and Melky plays everyday in the OF. Who is going to get more PT and who will put up better numbers? Mind you I think Melky is very overrated, but he should hit for a decent clip and is bound to score runs in that lineup, which is what I need. Hart obviously has a higher ceiling though.

You'll get more for Z at the end of July. It is in the best interest of the Cubs to hold on to this D-Bag and wait for the market to go up. Now he won't. Teams will pay more for 4 months of a player than they will for 2 months of a player. Not if he sucks. That being said, Zambrano would only be worth more in 2 months if he gets his act together and shows he can pitch. If that's the case, are you really going to want to trade him? Even if he shows he can pitch there will be questions of his mental makeup for a contender and he still won't bring back true value. Damned if you do, damned if you don't with this one.

It's not warrented? Let's not act like Barrett's not a moron for starting up round 2. However, Zambrano certainly seems to have instigated the first fisticuffs in the dugout. Clearly, both are idiots and showed it today.
