  1. Yes............by all means :D We'll see how Gooz looks til about 1:50, then I'll decide 8)
  2. Should I skip my 2 o'clock class for this one? Finals are coming up...but I don't usually understand the professor anyway...
  3. I'll take 36
  4. Very mysterious. Speculation on the Mets.com board is that this is just rehashing the Wright-Willis rumor, but who knows. Yeah...they played it off as a huge story and barely mentioned it. Typical.
  5. Yeah...and it would taste awful I'd assume
  6. I'd jump on that in a heartbeat.
  7. My roommate and I have had a discussion about the "correct" way to eat peanuts.
  8. I'd put Ramirez and Barrett ahead of Murton in terms of our "best hitters", but your point is still made. Barrett wasn't in the lineup, and Ramirez was struggling at the time.
  9. What shoud I expect from Marcus Giles the rest of the year? I fell in love with him a couple years ago, and for some reason I always end up with him. The only category I'm struggling in is SBs, and I also have Biggio. I'm thinking of picking up Barfield (6 SBs already), and if that doesn't work out...Walker's still out there too. I wanna get something of value for Giles. What should I do?
  10. It's hard...I think I've already quit like 25 times. Can someone invent a Quit Cubbing Patch?
  11. I think Tony Clark might be a good idea, AZ. is playing Conor Jackson at 1B pretty much every day now, they told him before the season they werer going to try to get him as many at bats as possible and kind of platoon him with Jackson but Jackson has been so good that Tony's basicly just rotting on the bench. Tony is not Lee but he would be a better option than what we currently have and he shouldnt be that hard to get. clark's contract is for 2 years. i don't want him. How much per year? He really had a good year last year and would be a nice stop gap. Maybe the D-backs would eat some of the contract for a decent pitching prospect. it's 2 years, 2 million, but it's still 2 years. That's nothing. I'd take him in a heartbeat at that contract. I don't know that they're going to want to deal him though, we will definately have to overpay. I know they have Jackson, but it's not like they're going into sell mode this early.
  12. Someone dropped Brad Wilkerson the other day, and he's made it through waivers (I have first priority, so I wasn't going to waste it). I have an empty spot for now (Todd Jones-DL), but eventually would drop Craig Monroe, or Biggio. Is it worth picking him up? We only get 18 pickups over the course of the season.
  13. I wouldn't. Pap has looked great thus far. Bedard hasn't been bad, but I think with all the publicity Pap has been getting, you can probably get a better starter for him.
  14. I love Len
  15. One of the best videos I've ever seen.
  16. I was in a money league with a couple kids form my school the previous 2 years (notice I didn't call 'em friends, I didn't really like 'em...just wanted to take their money). I won the league, and $100 2 years ago, last year I was in second and me and the kid in first got locked. Sadly the commish had 2 teams both years (but he didn't trade within them at least) and finished in last and second to last both times, even after locking us around the ASB. We didn't pay him or anything, I was just mad cuz it was an easy $100.
  17. My Scouting Report In the field: Sherwood is about 5'10, 150lbs. and projects as a 2B. He has played SS and 2B all his life, but seen as he has a torn labrum, he's going to have to play some 2B, and might need a little help when trying to turn two, but he never had much of an arm anyway. He has some pretty good range and isn't afraid to take one off the chest to keep it in front of him. He is also very sneaky, and once convinced a player to return to first after stealing a base because there was a "foul ball." At the plate: A perfect 8 hitter (NL) Sherwood has never had any power and is purely a singles hitter. He usually makes contact(beating the ball into the ground), although late in his career he decided he wanted to walk more, which resulted in several backwards K's. He has pretty good plate discipline and is a decent bunter. On the bases: Sherwood has good speed and is a smart baserunner. Probably his best asset. Has a history as a pinch runner as well when he cannot play the field.
  18. Then what's the point of keepers if you only keep one? Or do you mean you can keep one of those 3?
  19. I did, but now that I'm getting Furcal, and I will have Lugo as a backup, I just traded him for Conor Jackson. Essentially...I traded Drew for Furcal and Jackson, since I picked up Cedeno just a couple days ago.
  20. That series in 2003 was pretty sweet - don't forget about THAT. Refresh my memory? when we won 4 out 5 I believe and never looked back, took the wild card, people were pegged, larussa and dusty screaming at each other from the dug outs in the middle of this wild card race.... One was a Sammy walk-off, shoulda swept...the Alou foul-chalk kicker upper was the only loss
  21. Why are they acting like it was that close? K zone doesn't take hitter size into account! Sexson has the same zone as Augie Ojeda... Anyway...BARRETT Keep it up and I'll be winning $1000!!!
