My Scouting Report In the field: Sherwood is about 5'10, 150lbs. and projects as a 2B. He has played SS and 2B all his life, but seen as he has a torn labrum, he's going to have to play some 2B, and might need a little help when trying to turn two, but he never had much of an arm anyway. He has some pretty good range and isn't afraid to take one off the chest to keep it in front of him. He is also very sneaky, and once convinced a player to return to first after stealing a base because there was a "foul ball." At the plate: A perfect 8 hitter (NL) Sherwood has never had any power and is purely a singles hitter. He usually makes contact(beating the ball into the ground), although late in his career he decided he wanted to walk more, which resulted in several backwards K's. He has pretty good plate discipline and is a decent bunter. On the bases: Sherwood has good speed and is a smart baserunner. Probably his best asset. Has a history as a pinch runner as well when he cannot play the field.
