Sorry to hijack the thread, but I didn't want to start a new Neifi thread. I had a dream that on opening day next year Neifi was at 2B, Izturis at SS, Moore at 3B, with an Outfield of Pierre, GMJ, and Jones. Man, THAT would suck.
They'll let him pitch and we'll hear the good 'ol "the team comes first, personal accolades come second" line. They'll justify it by saying that since the team didn't succeed as planned they want to help Carlos get the recognition that he deserves.
I'm in. I've never done a dynasty league like this. I've got some good players in the minors though. How exactly does that work, can I leave them there even if they're in the majors?
Wow, I didn't realize he was 30 years old already. He's put up solid numbers for a SS, last year was a great year for him. He's a career .300/.343/.795 and is sitting at .311/.352/.805 this year. I think it would take a little more than Marshall and Izturis, but it might be worth looking into.
Griffey Jr. with the catch that broke his wrist. Was it the one where he head butted a wall? If so, thats pretty lame.. IF thats the case they should have put Jeters catch when he caught the ball 5 feet from the wall and decided to jump into the stands.. Wow, I didn't even realize that Jeter didn't make the list. Not that he deserved to, but with it being on ESPN one would think the dive in the stands or the flip to the catcher would make the list.
Is showing tonight. Here's what I remember. 1)Ozzie Smith, the diving barehand with the Padres 2)Edmonds 3)Matthews Jr. 4)Smith again with a diving catch 5)Otis Nixon 6)Buck Martinez 7)Rowand 8)Griffey 9)Lofton 10)Mays *edit Griffey to 8th, Martinez to 6
Hawk Harrelson, makes me appreciate the kind of job that Len Kasper and Bob Brenly has done, considering the season. Man, Hawk really sucks. He sucks so bad, he should be calling games for the Chicago Blackhawks. As a Hawk fan, that hurt. It hurts even more knowing they just let Pat Foley go.
