  1. This is a legit question that I'd like an answer to. I often see when someone (like Lee last year) puts up a year above his career average, alot of people here say such a thing is an aberation and that person will be back to around their career average next year. BUT a guy is below is career average (like Pierre) this year, and all of a sudden he is in a decline and he won't get back to his career numbers. It's a shame we have to think like this, but Jim has to pick up someone fast, or it's going to be Preston Wilson. I bet Wrigley's grass helps Juan out alot (assuming this deal goes through).
  2. Why exactly is it a knock on Pierre that he has no power?? He's suppose to get on base, not be a slugger.
  3. Here's what Hendry is doing at the winter meetings http://www.desipio.com/2005/12/06/daily-dose-apparently-100-million-cant-buy-a-clue/
  4. Why would it be a slap in the face to trade him from a crappy team with little positive direction, to a team with a direction that usually makes the playoffs???
  5. If I'm smart I don't let him.... If i'm the Cubs I don't care.
  6. See I'll believe all these trades when they happen, the fact of tha matter is "SUPPOSEDLY" the Reds are offering to fill one of our holes with a dead end that won't be on the team next year and a big question mark, I'd seriously consider it
  7. There's a lot of delusion, don't the Phillies want a front line starter for Abreu, they don't need antoher outfielder (Rowand, Burrell, Michaels). I also so someone say to offer Mitre & Nolasco for Dunn in response to that for Kearns which is ridiculous.
  8. Gee. Maybe you could just trade Mitre for Abreu. ABREU IS NOT GOING TO BE MOVED FOR A PILE OF DIRTY SOCKS! (not that Murton is a pile of dirty socks, but come on people!) I love you man, some people in here a delusional. If Reds really want Ricky and Mitre for Kearns I'd do it in a heartbeat. That's a steal as Mitre has no future with the Cubs (won't crack the rotation or bullpen (where he would suck) and he's out of options) I like Ricky but I'd like a Right fielder than can produce NOW, not a back end of the roation pitcher that might produce in 2 years. Is there better options than Kearns yes, are we capable of getting them? It's not looking like it.
  9. Can someone PM Joe Buck to get his confirmation on this?

  16. I hope the NFL's #1 defense shows up in the 2nd half.
  17. Favre thew up a perfect pass to Charles Tillman who returned it 95 yards, and then Robbie Gould hit a field goal right away because there was 6 secs. left.
  18. Isn't Maynard the holder ? Yeah I edited my post I forgot about that, I was confused because Gould never left the sideline and Maynard was just standing back there (so he could take the TO).
  19. WTF was that Maynard was out there ???? Nevermind, he holds I was just confused because Gould never left the sidelines but he was practicing. Woohoo that was a big swing right there!
