I would submit to you that a certain beat writer, who happens to frequent our board and occasionally chat with us, was probably involved somehow someway. If I recall, Miller's name first surfaced in said beat writer's column in late December. I bet Miller wasn't even on Hendry's radar until he read that in the beat writer's column. Just a theory mind you. If Hendry needed to read Bruce Miles's column to know that Wade Miller was available, then he's the worst GM in the world. His job is to know who's available and if he's worth getting. Jeeze. I was just going to say... if that is the case, we are in alot more trouble than we ever thought.

your NFL team is a whole heck of a lot closer than mine to winning a championship. Haha, true...I just hate to see a good season end so awfully. Most of us here know the feeling. (and it was good to see it happen to them after they did it to us) :twisted:

How did Dontrelle "easily break the record" when this two each earned more than him. I'm not faulting the article - rather my own understanding of what's being talked about. So what are they talking about? I think what it means is Willis set the record for 1 year contracts, Jeter and Gagne got more per year, but they were multi year contracts.

Don't think this has been mentioned, but they are selling merch now. And with that most of the team logos are available, and they mostly all stink. http://shop.mlb.com/category/index.jsp?categoryId=2164444 They also have jersey t's, but the only one I'd get (Venezuela - Zambrano) they don't sell :(. Might pick up a USA hat.
