  1. at least we scored more than michigan state! right? right? :(
  2. wtf is going on? i'm in the library, and haven't been watching the game. my local high school team could score more than 11 points in a half. I'm assuming my fav. Library? I only got to use Young for one semester (those book shelves spooked me  ) I'm not watching it, but what a way to lay an egg. haha, if only.

  4. i disagree. you can see the washington player's eye level go from the other players to the UCLA player's face. looks intentional to me.
  5. don't look now, but UK's RPI is 88! it was like 200 at the start of SEC play. 5 of the remaining 8 teams on the schedule have an RPI of 50 or better. i think 12-4 in the SEC and a semifinal finish in the SEC tournament gets them in. it's going to be hard, though. they HAVE to win @ Vandy tuesday night.
  6. http://rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?sport=MLB&id=1572 rejoice
  7. i really hope UK gets Boyd. he's a lexington kid, and the younger brother of former UK player Shane Boyd. i think they've got a good chance.
  8. Umm, total ass? SEC isnt much, if any, better. They have the best team of the 2 conferences, but other than that the 2 conferences are alot alike. Tennesee is pretty clearly the best team, but I'd probably take the next 5 from the Big 10 before taking an SEC team. Yea I was just being gentle. After Tenn, the SEC as Hosak put it is "total ass". Id take IU, Mich State, and Wisconsin over the next 3 best SEC teams, and Id likely take Purdue as well. the SEC is definitely down, but i can't really complain since the SEC has basically dominated the college sports scene over the past few years. the SEC will be back when UK returns to dominance in 2010. p.s. i really wish legion would have stayed :(
  9. dude, tom petty is awesome. what is wrong with you?
  10. UK got its FIRST road win today vs georgia. bradley left the game with about 8 or 9 minutes to go in the first half, meeks didn't play at all, and crawford was limping badly in the 2nd half, but they still pulled it out. they'd basically have to win the rest of the remaining schedule to get anywhere near an at-large bid (though UK's RPI jumped from 140 to 115 with the win today), but at least they're playing much better basketball in january compared to november/december. UK will be back in 2009-2010.
  11. What's the score, yo? The game isn't on here. KState wins 84-75. The local station here is carrying it. They actually moved the Mizzou-Nebraska game back to tape-delay airing so they could show this game live  Wow. I thought KSU had a chance but didn't really think they could pull it off even in Manhattan. Good for the Fighting Beasleys. Now we need Tennessee to handle business against Memphis. tennessee doesn't stand a chance vs memphis.
  12. They are Meph's projections of the projections. in other words, they are nothing Ok. you care what Meph thinks someone else will think will happen this year? i love how you post in all of these threads that you don't care about. it makes me laugh.
  13. sorry, i have to laugh at you for saying "mildcats" @ rawaction -- i know it helps your RPI either way, but kentucky is playing much better basketball right now.
  14. the game was filled with questionable calls on both sides. UK just doesn't have the depth right now. that's what you get when tubby smith has "recruited" most of your team. gillispie will have the team back in two years. even with the losses of crawford and bradley, i think they'll be better next year. gillispie still needs to get a big man to help patterson inside.
  15. UK had some pretty bad free throw shooting teams during tubby's tenure as well.
  16. thanks for making UK's win over you look good, vandy :x
  17. Jim Baker wrote a similar article in 2006, but it's limited to position players only. Since it's BP, it's by WARP3. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=5777 here's the list: 14.7: Ross Barnes (1876 Chicago White Stockings) 14.7: Mickey Mantle (1957 New York Yankees) 15.0: Honus Wagner (1908 Pittsburgh Pirates) 15.0: Arky Vaughn (1935 Pittsburgh Pirates) 15.1: Ernie Banks (1959 Chicago Cubs) 15.1 and 15.6: Ted Williams (1942 and 1946 Boston Red Sox) 15.8: Rogers Hornsby (1924 St. Louis Cardinals) 15.5 and 16.2: Barry Bonds (2004 and 2001 San Francisco Giants) 17.0: Cal Ripken (1991 Baltimore Orioles) 18.0: Babe Ruth (1923 New York Yankees)
  18. here's Goldstein's take: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=7055 i'll post the top 5 1. Geovany Soto 2. Josh Vitters 3. Donald Veal 4. Jose Ceda 5. Josh Donaldson he has Soto and Vitters as five-star prospects, and the rest as three-star prospects.
  19. UK is getting better. they really need jasper and meeks to get healthy. patterson, bradley, and crawford can't do everything. they almost pulled it out tonight in starkville, though. the refs were pretty bad from what i saw.
  20. You should be embarrassed. It'd be one thing if LDT ran all over you or something - but Rivers? C'mon. you won't be laughing when hasselbeck makes the packers look horrible!
  21. garrard is a beast.
  22. this game's going to be uglier than the USC-Illinois game.
  23. yeah, this game is going to get ugly.
  24. sigh. way to go, UK!
