Neither did Seabrook but it's only human nature to think that past performance should count for something. In Crawford's case, he's been better recently after a rough start. But in the case of Crawford in particular, goalies sharing time is pretty much the norm, and Crawford has missed a ton of time over the past few seasons. He could not have possibly thought he was going to start in most games, or that Colliton is screwing him over. Now, if he's upset because they've abandoned the concept of defense preventing goals, that's another thing. I think they're paying Lehner ~ $5 million to split time with him. I bet if asked, he would rather they had used that money on a better defenseman instead. Objectively, he should understand. Hopefully, he'd be agreeable to a trade. From his perspective, The Hawks have already brought in his replacement and no athlete likes seeing that.
