  1. Macias: 39.3 PA/BB His Neifiness: 38.6 PA/BB And both are "Dusty's Boys". Well, afterall, it is called "hitting" and not "walking". God I hate that man.
  2. Trust me, we don't like it any more than you do. Sure, we'll take the run. But I'd rather see Nomar out there.
  3. Game time, it happens every day. Critical error... I hate those two words
  4. You're coming up on quite a milestone. Don't waste the post responding to this though. Congrats.
  5. I'm not sure he ever had it to begin with. He's slowly becoming the new Harry Carey
  6. Pujols has 11 steals this year? Wow, didn't expect that.
  7. More? Wouldn't that imply that we have at least one?
  8. Driving up the pitch count already... great.
  9. I have a feeling Z would literally break Taguchi were he to charge the mound. It would not be pretty I have that feeling too, but never underestimate the power of Taguchi. Z's crazy enough to run past Taguchi, pick up his bat, then commit a series of heinous crimes. I pity the fool who decides to charge Krazy Karlos. Remember when Bonds ran his mouth at Carlos for hitting him in the foot? Priceless. Someone charging Carlos would make the Farnsworth powerbomb of Paul Wilson look like muppets hugging. Z might be arrested when it was all said and done... Agreed. Aramis is another guy I don't think too many people want to mess with. He's got that quiet crazy look to him. As opposed to Z, who is openly audible with his insanity. I still have to give Farnsworth credit for a perfect form tackle. I remember seeing him at the bar right after that. He got a standing ovation when he walked in. Lets hope Carlos can keep his head in the game and just pitch today. We don't need an ejection with the bullpen we have going lately.
  10. I have a feeling we're going to see Felix Pie get a good amount of starts next season.
  11. I hope the goal is not just not to be Piazza. As for his leadership, where has it lead the Cubs in the time he's been here? I was just pointing out that it could be worse defensively. But as far as leadership goes, he's one of the guys I hear about in the lockerroom getting on guys about not performing. He's one of the guys getting on guys about hustling. You ask where his leadership has led the Cubs, I ask where the Cubs would be without his leadership. That's just my opinion though.
  12. From what I hear, Grady Little makes the same type of stupid decisions that Dustball makes. So I'm not sure who I'd want out there.
  13. Barrett's defensive shortcomings are noticeable, but look at it this way, at least he's not Piazza. I like Barrett. He's a vocal leader on the team. He's a very good hitting catcher. And he throws out a decent number of base stealers. If he can improve on his defense a little bit, he'd be solid in my book. Ha, I forgot about that Oswalt thing. But to be fair, Oswalt had it coming.
  14. After his opening round 75 (8 shots off the lead), I'm going to have to take the field. Yes, I know it's cheating to vote after the start, but I don't care. :D
  15. Every struggling pitcher seems to turn it around against the Cubs. We can't seem to beat rookies or struggling veterans. So this one is up in the air. I like the line up today with the exception of Perez over Nomar. I don't care how many hits he had yesterday, he doesn't belong in the starting line up. But with the wet, muddy field, I see Baker's logic.
  16. We'd have to pay Dustball four million next year if we want to get rid of him. Hendry has said many times that he won't be fired, and Dusty said he wants to "honor his contract". So unless something drastic happens, there's a good chance he'll run us into the ground again next year. I hope we get someone else, but I doubt it right now.
  17. no question in my mind. if the cubs had cox or larussa, it'd at least be an interesting division race.
