    While securing a new stadium is great news for the Marlins they still have to fill seats. It's still debatable that people will support this club on a daily basis and fill the stadium. Obviously, if the revenues from the stadium allows them to keep the young talent they have that will help, but I have my doubts about whether or not Miami will come out for the Marlins. Exactly. They've already won two championships and they still didn't sell out most of their games. Miami just isn't a baseball market. Perhaps a little up the road in Orlando?

    Part of me likes not having to go all the way down to Chicago if I want to see the Brewers play. It's nice going 45 minutes to Milwaukee instead.

    Dang, and I remember where I was too when I heard. I was in the bathrooom brushing my teeth with my knee all wrapped up from surgery the day before. You know, come to think of it I had knee surgery twice in 1998. The day after my first one Harry died, and the day after my second one Brant Brown dropped the ball in Milwaukee. I'm looking at another one this year. :(

    Well, there's the smoking gun. Even the most hardcore Bonds defenders can't stick up for him this time. No HOF, and I doubt he'll ever have another plate appearance in light of these allegations.

    An edit: Due to new changing hours at work, the draft MAY be able to take place either this coming monday after 5 pm central, or this coming wednesday after 5 pm central. Once people start coming in, I'll start posting times I'm available, and then choosing the time in which is best for everyone. I very, very much doubt I'll be able to find a time that's great for everyone, so be forewarned.

    Ok, who's interested in this league again this year? I know I wasn't as active commishing as I should have been near the end of last year, but I had a death in the family and my mind was other places. Anyway, I've set this league up for several years now and it's always been pretty fun. However, a non-Cubs fan has won the league the last 2 years in a row (i think). Let's show this Tigers fan who the smartest fans in baseball really are! Anyone who is interested, please PM me. I'll make the league tonight, and start sending out invites. We probably won't draft until Feb 25th or 26th at the earliest, first week in March at the latest. Standard 5x5, live draft, 12-14 teams depending on the interest level I get.

    Sure looks like it. Maybe a little better. I'd take it all day. I'd take another Mark Grace in the lineup. Gracie was a hell of a hitter.

    You think the earth would end right after the final out or would we have a night to celebrate? If we get to celebrate, it might actually be worth it. The earth would implode upon itself about 3 seconds after the final out was recorded.

    I threw up in my pillowcase on freshman orientation thanks to mixing that and Vanilla Coke. Whiskey and coke kicked my ass harder than anything ever has. Three of those after having UV blue mixers (that was all I had in the house, honest!) and I was useless for the entire next day.

    yep --Even if we go to camp with this team, I bet we'll add one or two new players before the start of the season. Yeah, crappy NRIs if/when someone gets hurt. --No. Hendry will make a trade. Hopefully, it wont be as bad as the Dontrelle Willis trade. Yeah that trade was horrible. Cueto, Jorgenson, and Taverez were awesome also. Matt Clement sucked ass. If Willis doesn't have his 2005 that's a push trade maybe slightly in the Cubs favor. Any trade that brings us Antonio Alfonseca and the 50 games he blew for us in his Cubs career is a bad one.
