  1. Last time the Cubs won 8 in a row on the road? 1945.
  2. We need to beat this Florida team once & for all. Especially since there's an actual chance the Brewers won't sweep this weekend. The Dodgers have a scary lineup now, especially if Nomar can produce. I wouldn't say scary. I would say "perhaps good enough given an excellent pitching staff." I'd still rather face the Dodgers in the NLDS than Arizona any day of the week. I know... be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it. ethier kemp kent manny loney martin nomar blake pretty tough Webb Haren JOHNSON!!!! Chris Young Adam Dunn Pick your poison
  3. I said earlier in this thread that any retaliation should have been saved for the bottom of the 9th.
  4. Pat said he's staying in the game. Wow, I could've sworn CB was looking at him when he made the motion, guess not. Pat said there were no ejections on either side.

  6. Pat said he's staying in the game.
  7. For those without TV or radio feed... Escobar HBP, he pointed out to Lilly on his way to first. Both benches cleared but just kinda stood around, no punches thrown, and we're playing ball again. Both benches have been warned.
  8. Who said? Please don't tell me you're guessing Just reported on the radio feed. Said he was day to day w/ a left hip contusion. I'll take day-to-day. Better than the alternative.
  9. I think the mood around here will be much better if he's out in the field next inning.
  10. I can already predict... X-Rays negative, precautionary MRI scheduled for tomorrow, won't make the trip to Miami. Such is par for the course for the Cubs medical staff. I'm sure he's fine, but we'll hear this line until we know otherwise.
  11. The Cubs should be out for blood. BLOOD!!
  12. So how many does Lilly give back next inning?
  13. I LOL'ed and then cringed, but I'm hoping this is the case.
  14. Haha Kotsay. Uh oh.... Aram is hurt. PLEASE be ok. PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASE!!!!
  15. I'd like to rest the bullpen for the hot Miami weather, but there might not be a choice if he keeps pitching like this.
  16. Prado RBI double. Braves are right back in it. Thanks, Ted.
  17. We'll be fine if Lilly can get his act together.
  18. CB Bucknor is behind the plate? And we're winning? Maybe this really is our year.
  19. Ted, it's no longer April. It's ok to throw strikes.
  20. Ted, stop giving back runs after we score them, please. You really, REALLY need to knock that crap off.
  21. Glavine, Maddux, and Smoltz were good in their primes, but they were greatly helped out by the expanded strike zone given to them by every umpire in the league.
