  1. I think last year had a bunch of people's top five ever. This one and the Rockies game were epic. I don't think any game will ever top the Mongo Game in the past 10 years, though. That was probably the craziest game I've ever seen. I'd also throw the 2004 11-10 victory over the Reds in 2004 that ended with Sosa and Alou going back to back into the pile. Yeah, the Mongo game was my favorite Cubs game memory I think. There were a few games in against the Brewers in 98 that I remember. That 2004 Reds game I went to sleep because the Cubs were down by 5 and I thought they were going to lose. It seems like just about every Cubs-Brewers game in 1998 was a 14-12 slugfest.

What is it with us and games against the Rockies? Were those homers both on the first pitch of the AB? I always thought that was against St. Louis.
  3. This game was during that stretch where I actually managed to get over my hatred for Jim Edmonds. I never thought he would do it, but he did it. Geo was fat then, too. GO!!! Yup this is where most Cubs fans accepted Edmonds. Also, I just said the same thing about Soto, hes not bigger this year by much if at all. If you'd have told me I'd have cheered for Jim Edmonds at any point in my life, I'd have called you nuts.
  4. Z's no-hitter. I was seriously debating going the next night for Lilly's start. When he had a no-hitter through 6 I was seriously starting to regret it. Part of me was a little relieved he gave up a hit so I wouldn't be kicking myself for the rest of my life.
  5. What game are they showing since I don't get CSN all the way up here in Hickville, WI? The insane 2 out comeback in the 9th against the Brewers last year. Ah.

  7. Hard to believe we lost he and Harry in the same year. I remember Chip announcing in the 9th inning of the 20 K game that Jack had called in and said that was the greatest game he had ever seen pitched.
  8. Really, Jim? You really need to rack your brain as to the needs of this team? REALLY??? I wish stupidity hurt. A lot.
  9. He's having an excellent season regardless of how he does in this series. I hope that continues. He's one of my favorite Cubs. It would be nice to have a guy like DeRo on the team that could cover 3rd now that Aram is out, and could give Bradley, Soriano, and Lee the occasional day off. If only we had someone like that....
  10. Isn't Ohka going tomorrow against Theodore? That's Saturday's matchup.
  11. A bloop single isn't exactly "getting in gear", but I'll gladly take it.
  12. This one evens out that Atlanta loss. I'm still pissed about that one.
  13. Chalk this one up under the "Holy Crap" files. Someone has to post the audio of the Lee and Soto HR's, and the Sori walkoff.
  14. You mean we're going to lay down the sac bunt and not burn a PH to do it? Shocking.
  15. o/t, but is "KGB" REALLY the best name for your texting company?
  16. Let's win it on a Soribomb, just to complete the WTF factor of this game.
  17. Let's not have this one go 15 innings. Win it in regulation.
  18. Wow. I should go feed the kid more often.
