  1. I hope that year of defending the indefensible was worth it.
  2. You sure about that? Haven't seen anything about Jake Spavital being fired. Would be odd since this was his first season there. I read the ticker wrong, they canned some coordinators but not their HC.
  3. Ole Miss fired Matt Luke.
  4. Strong is out at USF, Addazio is out at BC, and whoever was coaching at Texas St is gone too. Possibility Helton is out at USC, I hope it's not Urban.
  5. I hope the Gator Bowl is UK vs. IU.
  6. Florida St. is interesting. Supposedly, they reached out the both Stoops, Franklin, Campbell, and Ruhle and we're declined. Allen has the chance to become a lifer at IU, I expect him to get a huge raise. I expect Haggins to become the HC at FSU full-time. It also looks like Sumlin and Malzahn are safe for 1 more year which are the right moves.
  7. Looks like Mizzou is going with the ever popular Parker search firm to conduct the coaching search. Studies have shown they're not more effective than when the search is conducted in-house.
  8. At least Waddle will be avail when the Bears actually have draft picks.
  9. So far 6 D-I schools will be replacing their HC with Odom at Mizzou being the latest not to be retained. Teams currently looking for a new coach: Appy St. Boston College Colorado ST FAU Fresno State Memphis UNLV New Mexico It'll be interesting how many more will happen on Monday. I expect Arizona, Ole Miss, Boston College, Colorado St., South Florida to be joining them. I would be mildly shocked if Texas, both USCs, UCLA, Auburn, and Michigan State all get new HCs.
  10. I feel bad for that kid on Ole Miss. It deserved the penalty but it's not his fault they lost. He shouldn't be getting trashed the way he is.
  11. How was that not helmet to helmet?
  12. I was hoping with Davis being correctly cut, they would have nabbed Elijah Holyfield RB (yep that Holyfield) from the Panthers' PS to replace him.
  13. Maybe instead of focusing on him w/stealing signs, they should look into why he reacted with such a temper? Steroids cause fits of rage, fwiw.
  14. Gray - yes. Akiyama - no.
  15. You don't have to, you want to. The interior line played better with the switch, luckily they did since both tackles were trash.
  16. Unfort. the wrong message will be processed after this game. It should be how valuable the QB position is that in only 3 good drives all game it can sway an outcome. Rather they'll use it as a glimmer of hope for a bad QB saving jobs.
  17. Moderate success is basically having 10 competent minutes of offense surrounded by 50 minutes of garbage This is probably only the second time (1st was Washington) they scored 20 points before garbage time all season.
  18. It's weird hoping the Broncos tank more than the Bears but since Nagy and Pace will be back, maybe Fangio is a one and done. Kwiatkowski should be the starter regardless of injury.
  19. If you're downtown, Who's on Third is probably the best.
  20. Sounds like the Rickettses are meddling in the hiring process. If you see a POC standing directly behind them in a Cubs' or Sinclair shirt at the next press conference then you know it's true.
  21. Yourself right they aren't the answer, but they're one hell of a lot better than Trubisky Nah, they're still bad with any of the 3.
  22. So if you could trade Mack for something similar for what you gave up, would you do it? Obviously would not be as much given a year and a half has been taken from his prime.
  23. Nagy was a horrible play caller in the 1 playoff game with the Chiefs, he has continued to be a bad play caller this past year and a half. Of course, calling better plays might eliminate opportunities to show how poorly he is at in-game managing as well. Going from Mitch to Daniel might take them from 6 wins to 7, who cares at this point since the season is done.
  24. Bone Spurs injury.
  25. Overall: I'd pick Seattle. Best city among those teams, best stadium, best player (Griffey). Picks: Angels Mets Royals Mariners Rockies Biased w/Rays.
