    Nice choice for a username! yeah well...when i picked it, i kinda forgot about that, but if you take the 2 1/2 years off the time since i became a cubs fan it has been 29 years...just not consecutive...plus i never rooted for another team, just quit watchin baseball almost altogather for the years in question :) your loyalty trumps my age... more power to you! its kinda like remaining loyal to your wife, ya might quit havin sex for long periods at some point, but that doesnt mean you're tom catin around town...so your relationship brings you no joy, you ignore it for a while, but that doesnt mean you just jump in bed with the first baseball team to come along...anyway, i could have easily become a braves fan but i didnt(questioning my own judgement there)

    as a lifetime fan, back "in the day" i never expected the cubs to win, so i was never upset when they didnt, but now i expect alot more outta this team, unrealized expectations hurt alot more than expected medirocrity, makes a cub fan cranky

    if the cubs trade maddux i will cease to be a cubs fan, i quit the team for 2 1/2 years when we let him get away the first time, this time i wont come back(at least for a very VERY long while)

    go ahead isn't he? Brian you should know all about CUBS karma by now.....or are you a young CUBS fan? sorrysorrysorry I PROMISE TO NEVER TEMPT FATE AGAIN Just remember it's the CUBS. What can go wrong usually does go wrong. If you google murphy's law you will see a CUBS logo... that plus the fact that the memory of that night wrecks my nerves everytime, probably will until there is a championship on the northside again....plus i quit smoking today so im a tad on the irratable side That's almost as silly as saying "I quit heroin two minutes ago!" i smoke 1 1/2 a day and i havent had a single smoke since 2:30 am it is not silly if you said that to my face i'd squeeze your neck till your eyes pop out...bite me!!! You said you were irritable? ...the heroin comparison only rings more true now... if i had just quit heroine 2 minutes ago, i'd be high and happy, so no, no it doesnt
