  1. Kyle Hendricks is pitching a masterpiece! Amazing!
  2. Marlins guy in the background. How does that guy do it?
  3. Also a measure to help with the site slowing down, as long as you're logged in things should be business as usual. Thanks! I don't always log on to check out what's going on. But I'll get into the habit.
  4. What happened to the game threads? What did I miss?
  5. The thing that has me most upset is now our WS championship won't measure up to the one that the White Sox won because of tonight's loss.
  6. This is the bestest quote.
  7. The theme song from "Rocky" for the player intros? Really?
  8. Kershaw just gave a look of, "Why the hell am I still warming up?"
  9. This does not look like an elimination playoff game to me. Kinda more like a JV game.
  10. Yeah, I'm still kind of in shock. I still can't believe this is my team -- MY TEAM!!! -- playing this way.
  11. Yep. Giants may hate him like we hate will clark I'm thinking more the lines of AJ Pyrzinskie in a few years time. He won't be an AJ. AJ's own teammates didn't like him. Everybody loves Javy!
  12. I love it when they find new ways to amaze me! Javy is good. Playoff Javy is the best Javy!!!
  13. This is way too stressful. Need a big inning now and coast the rest of the way.
  14. Nope. Jake isn't letting the Giants hit anything else to the outfield tonight.
  15. Nope. Jake isn't letting the Giants hit anything else to the outfield tonight.
  16. A player making contact and remaining completely on top of base but very briefly not actually having contact and being called out is just not 'right'. An over slide is a completely different thing. This. Overslides, over-running the base, those are completely different than Javy's slide. Again, I don't think the people who determined how replay was going to be used really considered a slight disconnect from the base. I look at it as a loophole that managers are exploiting. Especially since in instances like Javy's slide, it's incredibly subtle.
  17. I think it was Ernie Johnson talking the other night about a play similar to Javy's reversed call. He doesn't think temporary disconnect with the base should be reversed. Yes in the case of an over-slide or overrunning the base. But replay review was not really meant to correct calls like the Javy slide. I actually agree with him.
