    Agreed. Side note: KUers sure seem to be damn proud of being a Free State (just a side note from past visits to Lawrence). those guys were some of the cruelest bastards to lift arms in the war if you're talking about the Jayhawkers, both them and the Bushwackers were pretty rough. But the Lawrence massacre was by far the single bloodiest of the events, and it was perpetrated by Quantrill and the Bushwackers.

    Agreed. Side note: KUers sure seem to be damn proud of being a Free State (just a side note from past visits to Lawrence). That's because Lawrence was the heart of the Kansas anti-slave movement. Because of that (and because of some dodgy stuff done by the Jayhawkers,) it was burned down during Quantrill's raid, and a lot of people were killed. So yeah, they're still pretty proud of it, and all that stuff is part of the reason why KU/MU are rivals.

    corn is freaking delicious. I don't remember who I voted for in this one, but if I had a second vote, it would be for corn. Not for you. For corn. You'd just be the lucky beneficiary. I had roasted corn on the cob at the Chiefs game Sat night.YUMMMM I'm just trying to figure out what SSR is trading it for. Gold Bullion? Uncut pink diamonds? Enriched uranium? This is corn, people. You don't just give it away for nothing.

    the marlins one is just so sad. I'm imagining that empty stadium when i read it and the junior copywriter tasked to "come up with a line that'll put asses in seats."

    wow. those are pretty damning accusations. I think we need a rebuttal from CT. I don't recall ever actually being excited about the Blackhawks and I'm not sure if thats even possible. I will admit to adopting the Flyers as my team of choice in the NHL although in my defense thats a tradeoff to get my gf to adopt the Cubs. Also, I'm pretty sure I came up with the idea for the Game Threads forum although I could be mistaken. strong rebuttal.

    Sulley just turned me on to him. I don't think I've ever been this in love in my life. I've downloaded everybit of El-P, Company Flo, Aesop Rock, etc etc I can find. The Overly Dramatic Truth might be the best song ever. that is a very good song. i only have a few of his tracks, and i don't know why, because i like all of them.
