  1. For me, she's like the girl from seinfeld who looked dramatically different from moment to moment. There are times I think she's pretty, but there are times I think she's barely average.
  2. the future? unless im mistaken he's a free agent after this season. I don't think he's a very good player anymore but this isnt the worst deal hes done. the money isnt an issue for the Cubs and its a buy low chance. there's a pretty damn good chance kendalls obp is .340+ the rest of the season. power? no but as long as hes not an auto out im happy. can you tell us a bit about Blevins? Not familiar with him.
  3. A 27-28 year old who can't hit out of KU and the Cardinals organization? I say we stone him. If you really want him dead, just put him on Mizzou's hoops roster. He's bound to be shot or beaten up outside a DQ in no time. As for Donaldson, I'd like to see him promoted, too. Also, is the prevailing wisdom still that mateo will be used as trade bait this year?
  4. Didn't carp just have a setback anyway? StL is toast, though we play them enough where they have a chance to impact us.
  5. No doubt that's a popular solution among Cavs fans; those are the two most overpay players on the Cavs roster, especially Hughes. Good luck finding a GM willing to take on either of those contracts without some added talent thrown in by Cleveland to sweeten the deal. For sure, I doubt people are banging down Ferry's door for either of them. Personally I don't think there's a chance in the world that Hughes gets dealt, but I could see some scenario where Gooden gets sent somewhere. There's a rumored Gooden for Bibby deal. It might be the KU homer in me, but I'd love Gooden on the Bulls. He'd provide a little scoring down low, and he can board, too.
  6. Are people still bitching about the slap? I think it's time to let it go.
  7. More like bun in cheek. GET IT? GET IT?
  8. El Tigre, despite his allegiance to the ZOU.
  9. love Jon. Love NWU. Love Evanston. Going with Raw. Congrats, btw, dude.
  10. I love how the question is phrased. Not an ounce of bias in that, is there?
  11. I'm truly astonished it was this close.
  12. OU FAN ALERT. Not to take a joke seriously or anything, but I really do root for OSU basketball, as long as they aren't playing OU. My cousin had life-threatening cancer when I was in high school, and notorious douchebag Doug Gottlieb somehow got wind of it and really helped take care of him, it meant a lot to the family. I started to pull for them then, and I still do, for the most part. JamesOn is a shooter that thrives as long as everyone is focused on guarding everyone else. He's not a ballhandler, defender or passer. Yeah, I was mostly just joking. I think he's an adequate ball-handler and passer, and he can obviously fill it up on a given night. I don't expect much from him, and I doubt many others do here either. But for that late in the draft, he's got a good amount of talent, and he has the potential to become a useful NBA player, especially if he can be convinced to play a bit of D. I think that's where the enthusiasm comes from. btw, cool gottlieb story. And not surprising, either. He strikes me as a smart-ass, but probably a pretty good guy, too. Similar to Ben Gordon wouldn't you say? He's a much raw-er version. I think he can develop into a good 3rd guard in the rotation. Gordon's handles have come a long way since college. I have faith that Curry's will too. Gordon could not play a lick of D before this past year. He was the 49th pick. If he develops, he's potentially a huge help. If he doesn't, you don't lose much. Yeah, a poor man's version of Gordon. The big difference is I believe Gordon had a reputation as a very hard worker. Not sure what JamesOn's rep is. As for the Noah pick, he probably fits the Bulls's need better than anyone else. I think Julian has a higher ceiling, but Julian also has greater bust potential. Also, the Bulls don't need another small forward, and Wright would either play there or be very undersized (strength-wise) at PF.

  14. What exactly was his sartorial game plan there?

  16. Who is the other? I'm assuming it's me in this round. Ping has a lot of respect for my breezy posting style. You're a sinner with your masturbating ways. Let's resolve this with a firm handshake. I'm not falling for that again, last time it wasn't your handshake that was firm. YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO SHAKE THAT. AND I APLOGIZED FOR THAT, I THOUGHT IT WAS A POOL TOY. I'm afraid I prematurely shot my wad on what was supposed to be a dry run, if you will, so now I'm afraid I have something of a mess on my hands.

  20. I don't get to actually watch many games right now, so I haven't seen him play. What are his defensive shortcomings? I assume he has the arm for 2b, as all that requires is he physically have an arm. So is it range? Does he boot the ball a lot?
  21. UM is very good, but I make it a point to read Raw's posts. I think it comes down to him or Ping for the overall victory. Both are among the most knowledgable posters here, and they deliver their insight in ways that rarely ruffle people's feathers. After this round, though, it's going to be very difficult to choose in each matchup. Raisin, Raw, Ping, TT, Vance...that's off the top of my head. Great posters who are a pleasure to read.
  22. Almost every Cardinals fan I know was in the pre-gloating stage of acquiring Buerhle. They were convinced he's sign with this offseason at a significant favorite team discount. What a shame.
