    the problem was, he was never in control of his emotions. consequently, he was never able to perform adequately. that animated gif is a microcosm of that. In a year it might be humorous, but right now it makes me angry because it represents how overwhelmed emotionally Lilly was. (Although the hamster comparison was worth a laugh). it sucks, because he's been really good for us all year. But he looked terrified all night, and I can only assume that affected his ability to play.

    I think this is a very telling line, Kent is the leader of the anti-young guy thing in LA (specifically Ethier, Kemp and Loney). It sounded like Colletti and Little were really opposed to trading Kemp and this might indicate that McCourt will force them to trade him. Never let a guy renowned for sporting a porn stache get close to your wife.

    Unlike many, I never hated Jacque Jones. Up until late June he was a career mediocre player who was smart enough to take a $15 million contract from a bad general manager who stupidly didn't know the market value of Jones. Having said that, no one should argue with someone if they suggest Jacque was the Cubs' MVP after the all-star break. He definitely did well. Not only has his bat been a surprise, but over the course of the season he robbed several teams of hits and helped the Cubs' ERA by saving a lot of runs with his defense. I get your point, but I think you'd have to argue with that person. He was our 4th most productive hitter PostASB. That's not to take anything away from him.     Arizona scares me because it seems like we never play well against them. That could be my crappy memory playing tricks on me, though.

    I don't understand the hype about him. He's thrown for 9 career TDs and 19 INTs. He can't throw the ball deep at all. I PRAY Prince tries to throw deep. Your short game is what worries me. It's all Freeman has shown the ability to do. Nelson is a beast, though. Absolute beast.
