  1. would seem like a strange way to "clean up" the program
  2. I wouldn't worry too much. I give Fox 5-10 appearances max before his arm explodes again. Let's just hope he doesn't do too much damage in that limited action.
  3. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/columns/story?id=3376961 Chris Lofton played his senior year with cancer.
  4. I'm still reeling from LeBron's suit in the post-game presser.
  5. It's a shame Leitch did such a garbage job of defending his viewpoint. I disagree with Bissinger and Costas, but Leitch didn't defend himself well. I think he was surprised by the ambush. Bissinger came off like a total old-guard ****. What an angry schmuck. And it was good to have my already low opinion of pretentious-ass Bob Costas further confirmed. He didn't moderate that session; he had a clear bias and attacked.
  6. I didn't know he was from Kansas. Traitor.
  7. It won't be, he's the Friday starter. Yeah, i was hoping since it was at the K they might move him up. He didn't pitch, but I talked with him a bit after and got his autograph. Will have to watch him in Lawerence. Is it just me, or are our hats hideous? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v604/snoodmonger1/ku_baseball_mo_kc0770_t800.jpg

  9. I never saw what he did afterward. Here's the Horford thing, TT. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v604/snoodmonger1/trash.gif
  10. After hitting a pivotal shot, he yelled and taunted Paul Pierce who had fallen to the ground. Of course Pierce responded by trailing behind Horford to midcourt and flashing a Blood sign. The big thing is Horford didn't talk **** while backpedaling. He ran right into Pierce's face and started talking. I'm definitely making a bigger deal of it than it deserves. I just already hated Horford, and I already love Pierce.
  11. Just curious...why? Magic over the Raptors in 5. At least I got that right. Hawks up by 5 with 5 minutes left. It's almost entirely based on Horford's antics last game. They're playing great, though.
  12. You can say that again.
  13. This Celtics game is very entertaining. I hate the Hawks.
  14. I can't stand the Wizards and Brendan Haywood.
  15. Talib, Collins, Fine, and Henry all drafted out of KU. None were rated above 2 stars coming out of HS. Congrats, guys.
  16. Whoa. Al Horford, what are you thinking? Boston is going to fist them the next game, and after seeing those theatrics, I'm looking forward to it.
  17. No one said that. It think it's a valid concern considering his workload last year. However, I agree in that I'm more worried about the starting pitching.
  18. How often do guys declare w/o an agent and actually return? I think Collison did it last year, but I can't think of many other big names (aside from Rush, whose return was injury driven) who return once they've left, regardless.
  19. That's exactly who he reminds me of too. Maybe a little slower, but similar running style and slightly tougher. I dont remember how fast Smith was, but Forte ran a 4.46 at the combine..and the way he snakes through holes and uses his vision is a mirror of Smith Wasn't Smith a world-class sprinter? could have been, but I dont remember Yeah he was, that's why I said Forte was a little slower. That kinda sounds like I'm being an a-hole, but I'm not trying to be. Didn't take it that way. I was responding more to Minnesotacubsfan, who seemed to be unsure if Smith really was faster. (I might have misread that, though.)

  21. It depends on the team. Some teams will drop quite a few players off of their board entirely because of character issues. I know the Colts only have 150 players on their entire draft board this year, and that's probably a big reason why. There's probably 10 other teams that are extremely hesitant to take somebody with any character issues. Then you have the 5-6 teams who simply don't care about character, and the other 15 are somewhere in between. Oh, it's clear for some teams it is a big requirement. What I meant is that, IMO, the ESPN guys are making it seem like it SHOULD be a top requirement. In certain situations (Bengals), I can understand that. But I think in general, it should be down the list a bit. Of course, it's such a vague term, maybe I'm just interpreting it differently.
  22. "High Character Guy" is getting tossed around quite a bit. I'm all for that being factored in, but the ESPN analysts are making it seem like that's a top requirement.
  23. Danny Green (UNC) in w/o an agent. Davon Jefferson (USC) in w/ an agent. I'm hearing Collison (UCLA) is staying in school.
