Self's done a good job this year. This team is very young, and the talent isn't superstar caliber outside of Collins and Aldrich. Hell, Brady Morningstar is starting. Starting off 4-0 in the Big 12 with two road victories--even if the teams all are bad--is a pretty good. And Mario Little is going to be a really good player. I wish he were 100% healthy. He can score. Agreed Self has done well, but its sad to think they might win a Big 12 title because they have to play the South only once. I still doubt they'll win the title. We'll lose to MU once and at OU. We'll struggle with both UT and Baylor. I think we'll win one of those, but we could lose both. OSU could bite us, too. And we'll probably drop one more head-scratcher--@ Nebraska is my guess. I think we'll end up 12-4 or 11-5. 12-4 gives us a shot, but 11-5 won't cut it. That maybe, but the fact remains that conference needs to do something to give the South a level playing field.[/quote Like what? Reorganize the conference? I doubt that'll happen. They just need Mizzou to get good and stay good, and have one other program get good again. Like eliminate some precon games. What good is it beating the crap out of UMKC every year? At least that way you could play a more big ten type schedule. I doubt many coaches from either side would like that. I suppose it doesn't do KU much good to drum crappy competition, but most of the programs--from the North and South-- rely on those easy wins to pad their W-L/tourney resume. I can't see teams like Baylor, Tech, Neb, MU, KSU, etc. being too eager to lose some of those guaranteed wins just to balance the schedule.
