Yeah, they shoot for a a high percentage, but they don't shoot a lot of threes. They also can't play defense, which is good for us. Still, they're better than TTech and Umass, two teams that beat us, and KU has had a bad habit of disappearing for stretches. I don't think NDSU is a huge stretch for an upset special, especially since it's essentially a home game for them.

If Syracuse got there, they could do it. They have the recipe--a guard that can match up with Lawson and some athletic muscle down low.

We kinda got jobbed with that opponent and placement. It pisses me off. Not only are they closer to the location than us, but half their team is from MN. Nice protected seed.

i wouldn't worry about it. i haven't seen much of ndsu, but i think every one of their players resembles ollie from hoosiers. did you see how that movie ended?

KU can't defend the three, so we get NDSU--one of the best 3pt shooting teams in the country. And they won't have the travel far either. And we're playing like a steaming turd. I don't like how this is shaping up.

Out of all the people I expected to make this joke, you were last on the list. No matter, that team just did something tonight that I never thought I'd see as a student here. I'm so pumped up. Well no one else was able to do it, so there's hardly room to talk. Credit to the Tigers for getting it done.

Living in Kansas City, I could say your fans are right up there with them. All fans are annoying. But, if KU had been involved with the Piggie case, you bet it would have made more of a splash on ESPN. Hell the Wall thing was a big deal on ESPN. That's what I hate more than anything. I don't even mind the Duke fans. They are kinda dorky at Cameron, but the ESPN love is what is ridiculous. I've found that anytime I live in the city of a fanbase I don't like, that group moves toward the top of the list of fangroups I hate. I'm sure KU fans can be pretty self important. But KU doesn't get nearly the attention on the national networks that Duke/UNC does.

Sorry, but I see a second round loss in the future for Kansas. They've had a great season though. On Oklahoma, I see nothing to suggest they should be a No. 1 seed at this point. I think it depends on the seeding. I'd be "okay" with a second round loss. I'd love to make it to the second weekend, but this team can get rattled, and im not expecting it.

What did he do? I turned it off. He had that senior who was scoring all their points shooting 3s every possession after KU had given up. Then finally with 5 seconds and a 20 point lead he calls timeout to get him his standing O from the capacity 1,500 person crowd. That's pretty lame, but we did beat them by like 40 points last year, so I suppose turnabout is fair play.

This game is exactly why, no matter what happens, this KU team isn't ready to go far in the tourney. An off night for Collins, were in deep water. An off night by Collins AND Aldrich, we have no chance.

Well this reffing isn't helping us much, but I was just thinking today, "Boy we didn't lose any of those WTF games in the Big 12 this year." Oops.

John Brown was such a bad ass. he really was, but i have a sneaking suspicion that a lot of kansas students wouldn't actually like him all that well if they knew much about him. i personally think violent uprisings are awesome, but i'm somewhat outside the norm, sadly. KU fans have a pretty good handle on him, I think, and they still dig him. But I think it's only because of the anti-Missouri/anti-slavery connection. In a vacuum, I agree; they probably wouldn't be huge fans.

I'm not too good at history. Explain why this is funny. John Brown is a famous militant abolitionist who fought in Kansas against pro-slavery Missourians. The rivalry between the two states can be traced back to that time/the "bleeding Kansas" era, so Brown is often used as an anti-missouri icon by KU fans.
