  1. Me too. Also, Cubs in 1st place. Don't look back, fellas.
  2. Canberra has me a little worried, more so with the location than the velocity.
  3. I think Lindor got hurt last night. The Mets are the baseball Jets.
  4. I'll preface this by saying I don't know horsefeathers about pro basketball, but I'd look for a solid caretaker coach (who can actually coach) with a sound philosophy/system. Find an older coach who will bring a great young assistant who can run the system when they get talent. I would not hire someone from the college ranks.
  5. agree. I'm optimistic for the season. When the playoffs start, that's a horse of a different color. Let's see what Jed can find at the deadline. If the farm boys keep going off there will be a lot talent to deal. You know at some point Busch and Seyia will find their stroke.
  6. Those UCLA uniforms are the best in college baseball.
  7. The Mets are lost in space. Back to reality. I'm hoping for a split here. A 5-2 homestand is pretty good.
  8. The minor league season is starting in a fun way for young'uns. I try not to look at anything for at least a month, we are near to there and there is a lot to be happy about. If they could *really* start a development engine like the Brewers and Dodgers, look out.
  9. You can math it out any way you want, you don't pitch to Nico there for a variety of reasons.
  10. The Mets own him, so today was among his best against them
  11. It's jus this "announcer" happy-ass voice he puts on. Not a big fan either. I like Taylor, but he's a little too much with her.
  12. Is he the clearest #1 pick since Harper?
  13. Shaw is a future all star 2nd baseman at his 80th percentile outcome. But the Cubs have one of those locked in. it’s not time to panic, let him do what he’s going to do for now, but Jed should be on the phones looking for starters. He’s the best value player to trade for them.
  14. My opinion (obviously) is that they should let Assad and Rae pitch until they demonstrate they can't do the job. There is no sense in making a panic move or signing scrap heap guys. I'd like to give Brown a shot too, but he needs to throw more strikes. Unless he develops a better third pitch he can use with higher regularity, he isn't a starter.
  15. They have a great staff, so anyone is a tough assignment.
