  1. Over his career he has averaged 1 walk every 21.8 ABs, so I'd have to say he is due. I am going to guess 37 ABs.
  2. I don't think it is a slump, I think what we've seen is prety much what we are going to get.
  3. Oh screw you, man. They were wining and didn't draw...and their fans are the greatest? I'm done with Jones  After a couple quotes and below average play ... 20 games into the season. Ok... So you weren't at all upset by those remarks? He knew the fans here could be rough especially since we've come to expect some success. You simply can't come to a city like Chicago and expect fans to forgive you when you perform poorly. He talked to Hawkins and knew the facts before he signed here. Now he blames the fans for not supporting him and implies that we're not here "through think and thin" like the Minny fans. The same Minny fans that support their teams so well that they were considered for contraction. A couple quotes indeed. Not only that, but we will be Cub fans long after his playing days are over. As Cub fans we've been here through thin and thinner because there hasn't been any thick. Please ask to be traded Jock.
  4. ************Troll Alert************* Newsflash, Zambrano has nothing to do with Pujols except when one is pitching to the other.
  5. All those numbers mean is that he is due for a hot streak to get back to career norms. The team has been winning despite his struggles, so hopefully they continue winning when he comes around. Same canbe said for Aramis Ramirez. He hasn't hit his career norms for two years now. So he must really be due.
  6. Jones is quickly becoming my least favorite Cub. If he weren't striking out at such high frequencies the fans wouldn't be booing him. What does he think, they boo him becuase he's new? And Jock, please don't compare yourself to Sammy Sosa. It is an insult to Sammy and the Cubs.
  7. Jones has stunk like three day old fish. He deserves to get booed.
  8. I posted this in the game thread but I am reposting it here: By the end of the year Murton will have the highest batting average on the team and will lead the team in walks and OBP. The kid has a great approach at the plate. Two walks tonight and in a critical situation he didn't panic and try to hit a bomb. He looked for something out and over the pate a sweet stroked it. Jones HR was huge, but Murton's hit was huger ( :D ).
  9. I'll take Z's performance today, everyday.
  10. Karos: The key AB was Cedeno. No the Key AB was Barrett and he Kd. then it was Murt.
  11. By the end of the year Murt will have the highest batting average on the team.
  12. That was me, and I'll take that too. or a walk.
  13. Terrible AB by Barrett there. Trying to hit it too hard.
  14. They should've walked 10 times today.
  15. Ok Aramis. Be selective here. No need to hit the ball out of the park with the speed on the bases.
  16. It might be too late for Ronny. He swings at most anything. He has an incredible BABIP so far this year.
  17. Come on Ronny. Make him throw you a strike.
