  1. It would be great if one of the minor league experts on here could give us a midseason "State of the Farm" essay before the trade deadline. It's hard for me to get a read on where they sit with graduations, injuries, and young players in the minors. I sense that the system is not as healthy as it was at the start of the season, but what do I know? We do know that they will be looking for pitching, and that will cost a premium.
  2. It’s not the right call when he’s about by 45 feet.
  3. Having a Two Hearted Ale and loving life watching this game
  4. Mostly agree. I'd like "very aggressive" in the zone, but the best version of PCA is one who gets on base 35% of the time.
  5. It's necessary because those are not sustainable. He's not Vlad.
  6. If the choice is between Aloy and Bremmer, I'm hoping the Cubs chose Bremmer
  7. In his prime he had 98-100 MPH throw down to 2nd. Bench was a bit before my time, pudge was the best all around catcher I’ve ever seen.
  8. Jackson Jobe - TJS
  9. Hall is the top HS player in Alabama. He's a Tennessee commit. He's right in their mold of player. Around 6 feet tall, athletic, middle of the diamond. If he were a college kid, he'd check off all the boxes.
  10. Brown still lacks a reliable third pitch. It's hard to be a starter with only two. He will need to go to work this winter or he's a bullpen guy.
  11. Can he hit a curve? What does his fastball top out at? Where does it sit?
  12. That is axiomatic. All teams do, or else it wouldn't be elite pitching.
  13. I get the emotional reaction in-game. It's also important to look at the big picture. For the first time in almost 10 years, this Cubs team is a true contender.
