    I am really starting to believe that the owners and management in baseball want to drive it into the dirt so they can ask the government for a bailout. I mean it is really the only thing that makes any sense.

    I don't know for sure what the weather is in Detroit, but on the west side of the state it's been in one of those stupid gray areas where it's not quite freezing but it's too cold to do anything outside for extended periods. So basically the same as Chicago, outside of a couple nicer afternoons. We have a family lake house just north of Elkhart and generally the weather there is a little better than here. I keep checking the forecast there as the weather stays depressing here, hoping for any warm up so we can bring the family out for a few days, but still nothing. Anyways, Baez is the best and I miss him a lot. Edwardsburg?

    I’m happy with the start but trying to put it into perspective. You don’t have to go back too far to find a team that started out great against a contender and didn’t keep it up very long. *cough2021Orioles*. This team will be considerably better than that example but their ultimate ceiling is still TBD What excites me the most is the working the counts and putting pressure on the pitchers. I still think this team is going to struggle to hit for power but if they can keep grinding out ABs they can score some runs. Their approach is what is was getting at. I agree the need a big LH bat.
