  1. I don’t get the connections here. Kilian was good when he was filling up the zone. He’s not when he’s throwing balls and can’t make it out of the third inning. He’s never really missed bats, but that’s not necessarily a problem if location is good. Like most kids, he needs to learn to throw good strikes and good balls. How many Cubs pitching prospects have we seen this with? Even good “stuff”guys like Underwood and Maples can’t make it if they can’t throw strikes.
  2. Yes, hopefully he will be out of baseball
  3. it's just great to see Kelly lose. He's such an ass.
  4. Some good individual performances, but a bad day for the farm teams.
  5. Nice game. Good split but boy what could have been.
  6. I might put Wisdom in here. This has double play written all over it.
  7. Two outs too late, but Ross did the right thing.
  8. Tallion is not getting out of this inning without giving up a run.
  9. Swanson would be batting 9th if he was still with the Braves.
  10. Beli! If the Cubs can’t resign him, we’ll always have this season.
  11. Two out rallies are frustrating. if one can’t enjoy watching the game they shouldn’t do it. This series has been tough due to the close games and come back loses. A little better bullpen work and they’d be looking for a four game sweep, but not this team this year.
  12. It’s 99% of the time with imbedded links. The page looks blank and it won’t load. It’s better on Safari. It’s only from my iPhone when I’m not on Wi-Fi.
  13. Why are you coming up with a comparison that makes absolutely zero sense? But since we’re having a conversation, which prospect that the Cubs have may become a generational talent? The Cubs or any team isn’t going to empty the minors for him. That doesn’t also mean they will be able to get him as a one year rental (which would be stupid anyway) for nothing special.
  14. Go look at his HR rates, if he manages to stay relatively healthy he’s going to get close to or hit 500 HR. Steroid era aside, that’s the definition of a generational talent. Is he a great baseball player, no, but he’s a generational masher of HR. That’s plenty valuable in the modern game
  15. You act like it’s your horsefeathers money. Whatever he makes, he’ll be underpaid whether it’s with the Cubs or some other team. The real equation is the prospect costs. Tom’s a nutter, but Alonso is going to garner some prospect pain for the team that trades for him. They’re not going to get him for peanuts. Which is why I think he stays in NY or some team overpays (Milwaukee). He’ll have 80 HR against the Cubs by the time he retires.
  16. The site will not load on chrome on a phone using 5G. It’s really frustrating
