  1. I mean, did they not go after Otani and a bunch of other people that they wouldn’t pony up the money for I mean, I don’t know why I have a visceral reaction to that post but I do it’s just so horsefeathers incredibly naïve and stupid and a historical
  2. Jesus Christ. This is awful. I mean it stinks like horsefeathers after a hard night of drinking warm Busch Ice. Jed has not been successful by any metric you want to throw out there. It's always changing. to fit whatever narrative you want. Now it's all-star games? Give me a horsefeathers break. They shoot for 90; they've made it once during his tenure. He's awful, the Ricketts are awful, and no matter how much lipstick you want to put on it, it's an ugly ass, I don't know, think of the ugliest animal you can think of—my God.
  3. What's to talk about? What does renewed interest mean? They had a zoom with him in November or something. I would imagine this is some plant story to in an attempt to 1) Get Boston to give him more years and 2) get Cub fans excited. Unless his market evaporates, he's not going to be signing with the Cubs on a short-term deal. THE END
  4. Sold them and the Tribune to Sam Zell, who sold them to the Ricketts.
  5. The Cubs sign FA to a contract that avoids the possibility of them being totally upside down. Speculation: Tom and the sibs have PTSD from Heyward. Although "they give Jed a budget every year and he makes the decisions.", I have to believe that Jed is making contracts in an avoidance mode.
  6. This was fun for a while, but it’s off to ignore, both sad and inevitable.
  7. This might just be a me issue, but when I try to sign into the site on my phone, it says my password isn't correct. I put in my email address and password that I use on my computer.
  8. Tom got a new name. My IQ is approaching triple digits, I'll have you know.
  9. You could have listed three fake names beside his and would not have been able to tell you who the real person was.
  10. He is a beast in my 2022 MLB The Show universe in the year 2028.
  11. I'm convinced AI wrote that entire post.
  12. Now it's back to waiting to see who falls into their lap.
  13. Jed has the self-control of a trappist monk.
  14. Every year, these things come out, and they aren't particularly accurate. They are good at team record, but not very good at actual player performance. It's about as good as Vegas odds and predicting records. I wouldn't put much thought into the data.
  15. Good teams win these games. We will see what kind of a team the Bears are.
  16. Isn't it great when you answer your own question in one post.
  17. I would cream my jeans.
  18. One thing you can count on the Dodgers is that they get their target
  19. Go Broncos, beat the Kennesaw State (what?) antebellums, Massas?
  20. He made a deal just not with the Cubs
  21. I don't know if that is true.
  22. Yes, horsefeathers that. I want Bregman. Short of that, keep MAGABoy
  23. Shipping Shaw to Washington for Gore, I hope. He can live WH.
