  4. I'm not sure who was the worse QB on the field, Juice or Anthony Morelli. Fortunately for Illinois, they figured they should just run the ball all of the second half, and Penn State just kept passing. Juice didn't play very well either, but he didn't turn the ball over four times in the second half. That's what decides games, and Morelli just makes terrible decisions with the ball at critical times. Another example was the sack in the last drive - the last thing you can do is get sacked there, and the dumbass just stands there and takes the sack. Cuse, Morelli was orignally committed to Pitt but after Henne picked scUM, Morelli changed his mind and chose PSU. He was a 4 star recruit, ranked one of the top 10 QBs in the country by most scouting services. The problem is that he has all the physical attributes of a good QB, but he's an idiot. And stupid people do not make good QBs.
  5. The most disappointing part - well the only disappointing part - of the Brewers not making the playoffs is that the Brewer pee-pants party will not happen. Hope that they will do this sometime in the future. http://www.peeyourpantsforthebrewers.com
  6. congrats to Illinois. That game was very winnable for Penn State, but unfortunately they have Anthony the Turnover Machine Morelli at QB, so that wasn't going to happen. There are very few QBs I've seen who have awareness and decision-making as poor as him. I'm ready for the Pat Devlin era to begin about, say, two weeks ago. But oh wait we'll get another 7 games of Morelli, then the Daryl Clark crapfest in 2008. Not to take anything away from Illinois - they're a pretty good team and should definitely make the Alamo Bowl, if not one of the bigger (Outback/Crapitol One) bowls. PSU is just a better team, IMO, with the exception of the most important position on the field.
  7. well apparently froemming's crew is going to do one of the NLDS - get ready folks. Let's just hope that Bruce isn't calling balls and strikes for Jason Marquis. Fortunately we don't have any black starting pitchers for that other ump on the crew to screw over.
  8. lol i just watched the replay of this... after the ground out gonzalez comes off the bag like it was an easy out, maddux turns after gonzalez catches kouzmanoff's throw and points at kouzmanoff to give him credit for a nice play, then maddux turns back around when he hears that the play was called safe. He and kouzmanoff look legitimately shocked. I really hope someone can get a screenshot or a video of this, it's really stunning how bad the call is. haha if you have MLB tv listen to the padres radio announcers - skip ahead to about 2 hours 11 minutes and listen to their reaction. One guy says "disgusting" several times, and the other one says "Brucie you should quit now."
  9. damned if they didn't try though
  10. oh yeah, i'm a cubs fan because my dad is

  12. i swear if the cubs are within a game of winning the WS i'm calling out of work and driving to chicago. it'll be the greatest party in history. hopefully everyone will be so drunk/happy that i can find a stranger who would let me crash on their floor
  13. 90-70 isn't lucky. Best team in the NL, isn't lucky. People have said that for months, still wrong. Now, who is pitching for you guys Game 1, 2, 3? Assuming we meet up. 1: Webb vs -- 2: Davis vs -- 3: No idea vs. -- Zambrano, Lilly and Hill are unquestionably the Cubs' 1-3. Owings should be #3 for the D'backs, though it's possible that Livan Hernandez could get the nod because he's a "veteran."
  14. better get that resume ready, willie
  15. one of the worst calls i've ever seen.... hopefully we can get a screenshot or video of it. Even the ESPN guys said it was ridiculous. what happened? just a grounder to the padres' 3B, who threw across to 1B. Froemming called the runner safe and it really was not a bang bang play at all.... the runner was out by at least half a step and he completely blew the call. If you see it, you'll understand how bad a call it was.
  16. oh gee west virginia run all over hapless opponents and then loses when they meet a team that has the athletes and run defense to hang with them? that's shocking and completely different from what they do in other years.
  17. Regardless of who wins the East, it's looking like the best record in the NL, and the Wild Card, will come out of the West. At this point the D'backs are favored to win the division. So, the most likely scenario is that the Cubs (having the worst record of the division winners) play the winner of the West, which will probably be Arizona. Aside from the troubles the Cubs seem to have in Arizona, this would also mean that San Diego would be in the other series. I have a hard time believing that Fat Froemming's crew would be calling a Padres' series given the events earlier this week, meaning that if they're doing a playoff series - they very well could be doing the Cubs series. :x Don't mean to be a wet blanket or anything. Go cobs.
  18. one of the worst calls i've ever seen.... hopefully we can get a screenshot or video of it.
  19. http://www.cbc.ca/gfx/topstory/mora_jim0108.jpg PLAYOFFS?!?!?
  20. Hmmm..ok puzzling considering that he walked 37 times in 47 games at boise
  21. hey does anyone have nhl center ice? comcast doesn't have a price for it on their website; i'm just wondering about how much it runs. I also have to find out if they've changed the idiotic local broadcast rules (when the pens and flyers are playing at the same time, CSN philly gets blacked out - like i'm gonna sit there and watch the friggin pens)
  22. The Little Ceasar Pizza guy is going to buy the Hawks.
  23. yeah 1-3 (single) with a run scored. And nobody ran on him. What's funny is that a .667 OPS is basically the average production Kendall, yet you're goofing on Soto for doing that today.
  24. yeah that's a lot, but personally i like the 44 homers and OBP near .400
