  1. yeah i bet i would've enjoyed the game, u but oh wait the game was blacked out yet again
  2. I believe that would be Michael Kay.
  3. there are tickets still lift? man that is depressing. Probably the thing that pisses me off most about the Cubs going out... good sports fans get the shaft and the fickle 12 people that root for the D'backs get rewarded.
  4. or in this case, Tears of a Terrible Baseball Announcer (Suzyn Waldman) http://ballhype.com/story/n_a_887/ Listen to the whole thing, or scroll forward to about a minute and a half into the recording to hear the crying. Enjoy!
  5. Pitchers tend to recover better when having TJ than they do with shoulder surgery. The shoulder is one thing you do not want to mess with if you are making a living throwing a baseball. Shoulder scopes actually have a better success rate than TJS I don't think this was a simple shoulder scope. There was some labrum damage and also a problem with the rotator cuff.
  6. I hope your face loses by 100. :-k I hope your mom loses by 100. :o Your mom needs to lose at least 100. hey let's get off moms; i just got off yours
  7. okay i'll have to figure out how to do that but i'll let you know what i come up with

  9. people love the scrappy white guy
  10. I don't see Posada leaving the Bronx, and I don't really see the point in the Cubs spending $10-15M on a catcher when there's already a pretty good one here waiting at the league minimum. Address the weaknesses at other positions where there aren't as good options.
  11. if you can, include my score even though i didn't count (remember, got too drunk and slept past the deadline)
  12. i like the idea of trading for tejada; we don't have enough guys on this team who used to hit for power but can't do so very well any more
  13. yankee for life, no way they let him get away
  14. I think the Giants are among the favorites. The White Sox will make a run at him too, I guess, though they just re-signed all of their last place team so may not be able to afford it. If I had to rank a top 5, besides the Yankees: 1. Giants 2. Angels 3. Cubs 4. Boston 5. Mariners I don't see him going to the Giants.... that team is BAD, and a lot farther away from contending than one A-Rod. I don't think the Giants throwing an extra $5M per year at him will make him sign there - Lord knows he's got enough money right now. IMO, he will opt out of the contract and then re-sign with the Yankees at around $30M per year. They might not like him opting out, but they know as well as anybody that baseball is a business, and they're not going to let the best player in the game leave town unless they he's dead set on leaving.
  15. once the yankees are out, i probably will not watch any more baseball. Well, I'll watch if the game is on somewhere, but I'm definitely not planning on sitting down and watching a game.
  16. yeah wonder if the cubs have noticed.... naaaahhhhh
  17. by the way, anybody catch the blown check swing call by everyone's favorite obese umpire?
  18. could be... when i was down at miami they lost to Washington in 2000, and then didn't lose for another 2 years after I left. Penn State hasn't exactly been the cream of the Big 10 either since 2001.
  19. so basically those sagarin ratings are worthless, huh? uconn has beaten NOBODY and was a blown call away from losing to temple... stop voting for them morans
  20. 29-37, 404 yards, 6 TD, 0 INT last week: http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20071006/capt.921976a95c9f407fac4a5c09067da619.holy_cross_brown_football_rism102.jpg Now: Holy Cross runs a spread offense, scores a lot of points, and has a really good quarterback When I was at Holy Cross: No offense, very few points, terrible quarterbacks :x
  21. boy these playoffs have been really exciting
