No he hasn't actually. He started off 5-10, but is 0-7 since with 5 strikeouts and a GIDP. Good enough for .294/.386/.471. He started out 5-10 when he started 3 days in a row. Since then, he's started once in the past 6 games and has gone 0-7 with 5 Ks and 2 BBs. unfortunately i'm not sure that lou will give him consistent enough playing time to adjust to major league pitching.

wasn't hit that well, more of a humpback liner. i think people have to accept that pie might be the worst hitter in the lineup for the next month or two. either that, or just give up on him altogether.

Come on, man. He had a horrible game today. Inexcusably awful. okay, so... So I can understand why anyone would be frustrated with Wood hitting batters and crapping his pants on the mound. yeah but what is inexcusable? he had a bad game. if we're going to kill people for that then lilly and soriano should already be dead.

:?: Supposedly, he played that ball in LF terribly. I didn't see it, so I don't really know. not really. it was a hard hit ball, would've been a very tough play even if he'd gotten a perfect jump. the bigger problem is the pitcher either throwing the ball outside the strike zone or right down the middle for it to get hammered.

why? i'd rather use our best reliever in high-leverage situations. if we're gonna make a change, demote wood to setup guy and make howry the closer.
