that was, without a doubt, one of the dumbest trades ever made. a team at the bottom of their division, and no hope to contend the following year, trades an asset with some value for an aging, badly overpaid back-of-the-rotation starter, who immediately becomes the highest-paid player in club history. what train of thought leads one to believe that that is a wise decision??? dave littlefield should be fired from the cubs immediately, this trade was that bad.
