standardized tests were always a joke for me. i know some bright people that struggled with them, and some people who didn't do great in classes but did well on standardized tests. i got a 1370 or something on my psat and was up half the night before my sat playing video games at my friend's house. i got a 1460 and skipped a couple of the reading comprehension questions because the stories that went along with them were too boring. one was about how pencils are made... zzzzzzzzzzz.......
i wonder if all white sox fans are idiots, or if there are intelligent ones who just happen to stay away from that site. we have some morons on here, but more often that not, people actually understand the game. the moaning about the lack of small ball and not pinch hitting for thome is priceless.
he was very good last year. at this point one would have to think it's some mental block. his command was fine the last two years. i suspect that he's going to have to figure it out himself at this point.
hey, SIX consecutive strikes to the opposing pitcher (3 on foul balls) for a strikeout! (but there's a wild pitch on the K) another run singled in and it's 6-0
UGH. fly out on a 0-1 pitch, then a walk on a 3-2 count, throwing error on a pickoff moves the runner to 2nd, wild pitch moves him to third, then that batter is HBP on a 3-1 count. five pitch walk loads the bases. :x :x :x
that's not an 800 lb gorilla. i am very sabermetrically-oriented, and i think ricciardi is a very mediocre general manager. not all SABR guys are going to be bright or have great instincts.
