  1. i'm not going to lie, i don't care what the white sox are doing
  2. doesn't hurt that the giants lineup is terrible
  3. 03/31 - 06/30 AB R H 2b 3b HR RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS BABIP P/PA IsoD RBI% Marquis 31 2 6 2 0 0 3 2 8 0.194 0.242 0.258 0.500 0.261 3.34 0.049 0.111 last year his ops was a robust .373
  4. e-mailing to FJM immediately...
  5. wrong jon miller, marquis WAS a very good hitter on the cardinals. now he sucks.
  6. I agree. I was listening to Miller last night, and I thought he pretty good. He is fine until he does the stupid Hispanic accent when he pronounces names. oh you mean pronouncing the names the way they're accually supposed to be pronounced? i know, what a doofus!
  7. i kinda like jon miller... i'm pretty sure joe morgan is the sole reason that sunday night baseball is a miserable experience.
  8. 21 pitches 10 strikes... that's really promising
  9. saw that coming a mile away, but what do i know, i'm just a guy who hasn't played baseball since i was 12
  10. welly is getting hit like a pinata keep it up mutts
  11. i know, i'm just saying that the idea of it MUST be something physical is absurd. i think the chances are highly in favor of it just being something mental, especially given hill's past control issues. obviously something is not working right now, and he probably should only be pitching in simulated games until he can take the mound and be adequate.
  12. looks like wellemeyer's babip is starting to return to earth.
  13. 3-1 cards... tony armas still sucks #-o
  14. wow, grevers beat out two great backstrokers to finish 2nd and make the olympic team. sucks for ryan lochte, he's probably the next best backstroker in the world but only two u.s. swimmers can make it, so he is out. but he will be busy in beijing either way.
  15. I agree that if the Brewers decided to go after him, they have the prospects. LaPorta and Gamel are both studs. Gamel however is not going to stick at third. I think he has 27 errors already there this year. He needs to move to LF or 1B and he's not going to move ahead of Braun, Fielder, or LaPorta at those spots. gamel might be able to do 1B. he's literally so bad at 3B that i don't think you can, with any confidence, project him to play a certain position in the future. he might have to be a DH, which obviously the indians can do, but he loses significant value if you go that route.
  16. As muc as I've heard, "Its just all in his head and mechanical issues" I really just can't believe this. There almost MUST be a physical problem. just like there was for steve blass and rick ankiel?
  17. no thanks. no. what's the point? very ground ball heavy. probably a good idea. sure. 80% behind this one.
  18. yeah but sabathia is probably going to be asking for $20M a year. if you do that you've got about $60M next year going to 4 starters, and beyond then you've got nearly $50M a year going to 3 starters. tack on $13M for lee, $12M for fukudome, $15M for ARam and about $17M for soriano - that's $108M and you still need a bullpen, 2 more starters, 4 more position players and a bench. unless you're the yankees, this is not doable.
