    i gotta say, cain pitched a hell of a game. i will give him credit, he has been keeping the ball down and painting corners all night, and the defense behind him has been very good. some days you just get beat.

    The terrible terrible 06 Cubs were never 1-hit? Impressive that team was 17th in batting... not great but not terrible either. they could hit for a decent average, they just couldn't walk or hit for power.

    CUBS are 12-15 when the opponent steals a base.... 38-17 when they don't Go CUBS !! Wow, you found the negative split. Wouldn't have guessed it would be steals that's not a negative split... steals are positive for the other team so it stands to reason that the cubs would have a better record when not allowing a stolen base.
