  1. yes! keep throwing strikes OPR!
  2. find some guys who slug under .400 but have an IsoD near what fuld had in the minors (.083). you probably won't have much luck because they just don't exist at the big league level. the only guys i can find are todd helton and b.j. upton, who both have much more of an illusion of power than fuld does.
  3. i bet chevrolet made a big, BIG donation to the WGN radio neediest kids' fund after that one.
  4. the d-bags already dealt a lot of their good prospects. if bay is the commodity, then i'm asking for jarrod parker. scherzer's shoulder is a concern. bonifacio has never hit much outside of lancaster, which is a bandbox in a hitter's league, so yeah - he would be a terrible centerpiece for a trade.
  5. It's got to be fast. It clocked Gallagher in the first at 97. It also clocked Garland at 95. the gameday pitches are generally in the 92-93 range, which seems more consistent with his scouting reports and with how he threw for the cubs. struck out the side in the 5th!
  6. the gun that the broadcast is using looks about 2-3 mph too fast. gallagher looks really good though; i hope he becomes a very good pitcher for them.
  7. the theriot shift: putting all 7 fielders (minus the catcher/pitcher) on the right side of the diamond, and nobody is deeper than 225 feet. the murton shift: all 7 fielders play infield.
  8. and gallagher is in line to get the win. terrible trade for the cubs.
  9. i for one am disappointed not to hear brewersbrewers' thoughts on tonight's game.
  10. i swear it seems like iowa has played albuquerque about 20 times since the middle of june
  11. thanks dusty baker's reds!
  12. lol jason kendall
  13. Actually....I wouldn't mind CH coming over to the Cubs in a couple years when he wants to get paid. Just sayin' i wonder if i'm the only one who knows that the brewers' payroll is over $90 million.
  14. i hate baseball conventional wisdom. let's have david weathers pitch to the meat of the brewers' lineup and if he gets through it, then we can have a better pitcher throwing to worse hitters in the bottom of the 9th to close it out.
  15. that's one thing that always pisses me off about him, he absolutely destroys the cubs but he never did much against the cards. i think dunn just hates the cubs.
  16. don't f this up reds
  17. hopefully adam dunn still thinks he's playing the cubs.
  18. defense was the reason we won the division last year, and it might be the reason again this year. their defense just gives away so many runs.
  19. reds give up lots of 2-out runs and can't score a runner from 3rd with one out. great job guys. here's to dusty managing that team into the ground too.
  20. he looked fine yesterday :x
  21. At least know somebody's name before you hate him. oh you got me! i don't know his real name! what is it?
  22. in the top of the first, hairston singled and then advanced to second on a wild pitch. so what does jeff keppinger do? sac bunts him over to third. DUSTY ](*,)
  23. great, ankiel and ludwig have home runs. my two most hated cardinals. and of course kyle lohse still has no idea that he sucks.
