  1. why doesn't texas deserve two? In my eyes that's what it should be...I just never was that enamored with Texas and if Ohio State hadn't blitzed the whole team so there was nobody down field if they passed then they would have lost...In my mind if you do a playoff system Florida and USC would meet in the final ohio st blitzed because texas was marching down the field on them and they were trying to stop their momentum. that's fine that you consider florida and usc to be the two best teams but that's different than saying "texas doesn't deserve two" like it's a statement of fact.
  2. why doesn't texas deserve two?
  3. those are teams that meph roots for
  4. We're the Park Ridge Cubs now, didn't you get the memo? let me put it another way, what the eff did hendry ever do to deserve have a street named after him anywhere?
  5. How would he contribute to the emotion or feeling of the formation? oh come on for him that's pretty close
  6. frankly i don't know why florida dropped earlier in the year, they only lost by an extra point which is barely even part of football.
  7. See I think he'll fail, but Redick is a dick and is complaining about playing time by the way. I don't think Tebow will do well in the pros, but he's a nice guy so I'd feel worse for him than JJ Redick failing....But I understand your take on it What makes you think Tim Tebow is a nice guy? He comes from the Jay Cutler, Philip Rivers, Jake Delhomme school of completely bitchy quarterbacks, only without the requisite ability to throw footballs. i'm pretty sure that if tim tebow didn't wear eye black with bible passages written on it, nobody would think he was a nice guy.

  9. I would say its man's greatest achievement. In 50 years, history books won't even bother covering 9/11 because the decade will be defined by Tim Tebow. In fact, since people still can't figure out what to call this decade (naughts? zero's?) they are just going to call it the Tebow's. he better enjoy it because the '10s sure as hell are not going to be the tebow's. unless you count winning the grey cup a bunch of times.
  10. Attack the post, not the poster(s). uh this rule doesn't apply to meph, haven't you paid any attention over the past several months? to be fair he's contributing such a high volume of front page articles that we can live with his transgressions throughout the rest of the board.
  11. meph is to stats what tim tebow is to Jesus.
  12. yeah we've been spending too much time with brandon spikes.
  13. don't buy it, he voted death.
  14. so kovalev and komisarek are starters on the eastern team? montreal fans FTL.
  15. Sounds about right. Oh and sure Meph, put Oklahoma ahead of a team they lost to (Texas), USC, and Utah. That sure makes sense. meph's rankings aren't about making sense, or about wins and losses. frankly i'm surprised that washington didn't come in #2.
  16. despite the refs' best efforts, we beat the wild 3-1 tonight. we were shorthanded for 15 minutes; they were shorthanded for 8 seconds. joke.
  17. douchebag final rankings: 1. tim tebow 2(tie). everyone else
  18. wait what the eff did hendry ever do to deserve this?
  19. (a) John 3:16? pick something a little more original, Tim. (b) I don't think Jesus would get a taunting penalty.
  20. gotta agree with rchap on this one. anything over 210 is pretty rare for an nfl safety; sean taylor was around 215 and he was considered a big safety. i guess mays could be a big enough freak where he has enough speed to play at that size, but i suspect that once he gets in an nfl strength and conditioning program he'll end up being a better fit at OLB than FS.
  21. No, one of the articles posted above says he passed it already. ah ok. knowing the cubs they probably made him do a few jumping jacks and declared him good to go.
  22. i'm pretty that any info on the physical will take longer to come out than this afternoon. it's not like you give the guy the full work-through and then spend 2 minutes analyzing the MRIs and what not.
  23. once you get past the up-front costs, it's really cheap to be dead.
  24. yes. in the same sense that I could be a stripper Aaron Miles was paid to play the OF in 6 games last season. How many times were you paid to strip last year? a better question would be, how many times was bob paid not to strip last year.
  25. yeah i don't think he's very good any more either. lh batters hit him well the last two years.
