  2. Imagine if the Chargers also win.... cardinals-chargers super bowl!!!! *roger goodell commits suicide*
  3. ??? ok it SHOULD be a bye. if the panthers choke and lose this game they have nobody to blame but themselves. the cardinals aren't good and they're missing a great WR.
  4. ok i've started actively rooting for the cardinals, just in case the eagles win. that would be the craziest conference final ever, a team that was 25 to 1 to make the playoffs going into week 17 against a traditionally inept team that only made the playoffs because their division was horrendous.
  5. what does tony siragusa add to the broadcast, aside from being fat and loud?
  6. Seriously....seeding in the NFL playoffs is weird. I would guess more often than not, a crappy team wins a bad division while a superior wild card team finishes with a better record, leaving the #1 seed playing a better team. yeah and it's not like you can really give the giants the option of choosing which team to play. no league does that and all that would do is piss off the cardinals. since each division is only 4 teams you're really prone to getting at least one lousy team in the playoffs and then they get a home game, so they've got a decent chance to win. personally i think that the top 6 teams should just get in and then you seed them by record. Which won't happen because it eliminates more teams from the playoffs earlier. $$$ yeah i wasn't clear on my point. i'm fine with each of the four division winners getting in (otherwise what's the point of having divisions?), but once you have the six teams that will be playing in the playoffs, i would seed them based purely on record. i don't think it's fair that the chargers got to host the colts and the cardinals hosted the falcons. larry fitzgerald is so awesome.

  8. hey you might want to cover that guy, he's pretty good
  9. the giants are probably furious right now that they have to play a real team tomorrow while the #2 seed gets a bye.
  10. holy cross began their "real" season today - conference play in the wretched patriot league. we beat lafayette at home; they're terrible. actually there are only two or three teams that aren't downright bad, so if we can get healthy (we've had as many as 5 players hurt for games in the OOC schedule) we will have a chance to win the league.
  11. No. I figured. Then again, PSU isn't as good as their record either usually in early january most teams aren't as good as their record, because they've spent much of their OOC schedule beating up on cream puffs. penn state's best win was over a mediocre ga tech team. still they have done fine in the big ten schedule so far. northwestern at home was a game they "should" win and wisconsin on the road was a game they "should" lose. winning at home against purdue is a solid win - they'll get their act together and be a top 40 rpi team. wiinning at minnesota would be a nice win. then they have a tough but winnable game (home vs mich st) and three games they "should" win (@indiana, vs michigan, vs iowa) before the auto-loss (@mich st).
  12. uh are you sure that joe flacco is completely aware of where he is? he was like 2 inches from stepping out of the back of the end zone. i'm pretty sure he isn't dropping back 11 yards and still completely aware of where he is, within a matter of inches.
  13. this game is going to be boring.
  14. that's why the titans used an early pick on him
  15. uh oh i think since the chargers are hot and the steelers have great defense and a qb who has won a super bowl, both those teams are Teams You Don't Want To Play. So next week we're going to have a battle to Teams You Don't Want To Play. Maybe they'll just agree not to play and flip a coin instead.
  16. i'm getting tired of hearing "this is the team you don't want to play." only a quarter of the nfl teams are left, other than the cardinals is there any team that you're like "boy this shouldn't be this difficult." pretty much everyone is the team you don't want to play.
  17. they won 3 of the 8 games you listed above.
  18. he's just holding it up like that to see the shiny lights coming through it.
  19. See I think he'll fail, but Redick is a dick and is complaining about playing time by the way. I don't think Tebow will do well in the pros, but he's a nice guy so I'd feel worse for him than JJ Redick failing....But I understand your take on it What makes you think Tim Tebow is a nice guy? He comes from the Jay Cutler, Philip Rivers, Jake Delhomme school of completely bitchy quarterbacks, only without the requisite ability to throw footballs. Tim Tebow is a complete douchebag. because he circumcised some poor filipino kids instead of partying last spring break? no, because he acts like a complete douchebag on the field.
  20. he's only 20 years old. i think he's such a good pass rusher that he'll be taken in the first half of the first round. pretty much everyone is looking for a speed DE right now. even if he is just a situational guy his first couple of years.
  21. orlando is beating atlanta 71-33 at halftime. way to show up hawks.
  22. Maybe the Badgers would draw the mighty Zips in a rematch with one of their opponents from the regular season. the badgers? where does that come from?
  23. you can add (extremely unlikely) after maybin's name too
