  1. someone please dong. bring back the dongs.
  2. have jim joyce's contacts dried out or something? it's like he's just been calling balls and strikes arbitrarily since the bottom of the 8th.
  3. where was that call last inning you incompetent fool
  4. thanks for jim joyce you bag of dicks.
  5. http://www.beyondtheboxscore.com/2015/9/9/9285947/matt-williams-indefensible-decision-washington-nationals-new-york-mets
  6. please tell me that, if we make a playoff run, david ross will not still need to be jon lester's personal catcher even against tough RHP.
  7. he had better still retweet that in october.
  8. http://sportsmockery.com/2015/09/photos-cardinals-pitcher-carlos-villanueva-has-something-on-his-pants-maybe-poop/
  9. here's villaneuva's poopy pants or pine tar. you make the call!
  10. Ski, ARCubsFan and Rondon Fan already have their meltdown posts typed out here, just in case.
  11. Yeah, he just flew. Jesus, the Nats are bad. i'm having a hard time envisioning a scenario, barring a complete turnaround by the nats in the next 3 weeks, that doesn't end with matt williams getting sacked. when a team underperforms this badly, somebody's head has to roll.
  12. i barely remember what he did in between playing for the padres and being called up for the cubs. i know people said his swing seemed too long when he was with the padres.
  13. if he ends up being really good, it's hard to say how much is player development and how much is a really young but talented guy just making adjustments after struggling his first time in the bigs. mike trout was bad in his first crack at the bigs, then came up and was 21st century ted williams the next year. rizzo is another one who [expletive] the bed in his first taste in the bigs. i guess the difference with baez is that there seems to be a clear difference with his swing/approach/front leg loading.
  14. if baez figures it all out and castro returns to being good... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v133/Drewski217/miscell/gifs/fainting.gif
  15. if baez keeps hitting, then neither castro nor soler has a place in the lineup. but if castro is good again.... look out.
  16. still early signs, but baez is looking much less derpy than he looked last september.
  17. paging IMB to make a joke about the $100 prize to the winner... no you can't prevent the joke by trying to head it off in the OP, tim.
  18. i'm pretty sure that somewhere in the area of 28 major league teams would put together a better offer than that, if the mets decided to trade away harvey.
