  1. Man, who was knocking that? I'd much rather have Miguel than Aramis. i would too, but cabrera is too fat to be a 3B.
  2. yeah that was part of a two-week spree of blow home run calls that led to instant replay being instituted.
  3. koyie hill triple followed by carlos sliva double would not have been my predicted outcome for their ABs.
  4. chris johnson? tommy manzella? this lineup is a who's who of scrubs i've never heard of.
  5. IDK but gameday has him throwing 96, is that right? yeah he has a pretty big arm, probably shaky command to have not done much in the big leagues through age 26.
  6. that one probably lands on waveland yesterday.
  7. now that is a bad lineup. pedro feliz in the 3-hole? lol.
  8. i'm fairly certain that gaub could be a solid contributor in the bullpen right now, though he will walk some people, and that will get lou's panties in a bunch. but his minor league stats: 131.0 IP, 84 H, 8 HR, 68 BB, 184 K - suggest a guy who has big league stuff. you don't pile up a .186 BAA and 12.64 K/9IP on luck and guile. parker and stevens are pretty similar too, both RHP with some control issues, but pretty tough to hit and strong K rates. stevens has fairly neutral splits against RH/LH batters whereas parker has been more dominant against same-side hitters.
  9. 237 million pounds in debt? holy crap.
  10. yeah i saw that during the game and was thinking to myself, what the hell??? so weird. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPNdsGf5n5Y welcome to my world. he skates well and has the tools to be a good defenseman, but makes so many dumb plays and has no positional awareness. i'm glad he's gone.
  11. i read somewhere that his wrist is banged up, and all he can do is play outfield right now (can't hit)
  12. very exciting play, much more wide open and free-flowing than i would normally expect from an nhl overtime. montreal has outplayed washington so far in this overtime.
  13. the bruins outshot the sabres 24-8 in the 2nd period. if i remember correctly, neither the flyers nor the devils had 24 shots in the entire game last night.
  14. go sixers
  15. going to be quite taxing carrying 7- and 8-man pitching staffs.
  16. the minor league box scores are effed up again... not showing up on the website. alberto cabrera is having another good game for daytona, 7 K's in 6 IP and no runs allowed.
  17. Sorry. I don't want this organization wasting time with guys who weren't even good at pitching in college. hate to break it to you, a lot of our minor leaguers weren't that good at pitching in college. and samardzija wasn't really a bad college pitcher. if we have room for j.r. mathes, brian schlitter and mike parisi on iowa's roster then we certainly have room for samardzija.
  18. the offense pretty much sucked balls until they got to come home and face one of the worst pitching staffs in baseball.
  19. Hill is the only bench bat left I believe so Tracy is the best option. i don't necessarily agree with that
  20. i feel like most of the guys in the dugout have a better chance at getting a hit than tracy, and that includes the pitchers and coaches.
  21. So will I, but we shouldn't have to settle. This game was very winnable. yesterday's game was very loseable
